What is the most ignorant regarding tariffs is not which country pays for them. Hearing your laugh is the only thing that will save me😂
After the Brexit vote the top search for a few days was “what is the EU?”. We’re paying the price of having shit for education in both countries.
Hey they’re robbing the train!! Get the posy together!
It does feel like we aren’t going to survive this.
Some people only learn from pain. I can afford it. They can’t. So I’ll sit back and have my 25% more expensive snacks and laugh and laugh.
Coolidge, president in the 1920s, was a huge tariff guy and put protection tariffs for US companies on all foreign goods. He also cut taxes on the rich three times. The tariffs and the tax cuts for the rich set the stage for The Great Depression. I can't wait for the 2nd Great Depression. My grandparents lived through them and my parents were working after school. I guess I'll understand now how they made it through that depression.
I am about to become a non-consumer.
Canada can turn off your hydro in the upper red states
I am all about it
You went hunting for good news? You must be a glutton for misery. 😂

His dementia mind latched onto that "beautiful word" tariff and now it's full blown crazy.
Trump is a pompous a$$ about imposing tariffs. BTW.. Congratulations on achieving your plaque! Keep up the GREAT Work. 👍🏼
Tariffs are taxes paid by the American consumer, and i am absolutely loving it😂😂😂😂
GOP says, what's a brain and a heart
Tariff = Sales Tax. Simple.
House building costs will go up because you get the wood from Canada. And cars and other machines will go up because you don’t have enough steel or aluminum to meet your needs.
The good news is your hair is clean and looks luscious.
Happy FriYay BOSS 🫶💙😊
House Democrats held an emergency meeting Wednesday to caucus about how to try to stop Trump’s actions.
You get a tariff! And you get a tariff! Everyone gets a tariff?
Meanwhile, the " government" is holding the purse for all those tariffs? Neat plan.
I’m pretty sure tariffs against Canada & Mexico are a violation of NAFTA, but I still expect him to do it.
Expect prices to go up TOMORROW. Yes, I understand that the goods the new tariffs affects won’t be on the shelf yet, but, ya know, Capitalism. Businesses will use the opportunity to price gouge.
Sad but so true there isn't any.
I've been enjoying watching Americans freak out that a 12 pack of eggs is $30+ and they want to change their vote 😂 Meanwhile its still $3.49 up here in the great white north...
No one is paying g $30 for a dozen eggs. Remind me what a case of Labatts runs up north?
@rack9458 You might not be paying it but that's what it costs. Good luck out there, hun 👍
@thoky90 Again....what's a case of beer cost in Canada?
Oh no!
I paid $3.93!
Lol

That put the markets in a tailspin.
Just remember that tariffs are a temporary thing, we just have to wait it out until Trump is out of office. It’s going to be terribly tough in the next four years, I’m afraid. I find it immeasurably sad that we Canadians are forced to come up with ways to inflict as much pain as possible in our oldest friend and neighbor. And I am sickened at the thought that many people will have to surrender their pets because pet food is too expensive.
Neighbour
Saw a dude post that he just paid 12 bucks for a dozen eggs. They were worried ab eggs. 😮

Gotta do something about public education in this country.....civics and american history seem to be remarkably absent
The trickle down economics crowd doesn't understand that expenses, unlike profits, do indeed trickle down to the consumer.
What is the most ignorant regarding tariffs is not which country pays for them. It’s either the exporter raises the price on the commodity, and the consumer pays for it or the importer raises the price to the consumer for what he had to pay the exporter. Neither scenario is a winner for the poor schmuck paying more for everything purchased.FAFO There is going to be a lot of empty shelves and Amazon delivery trucks.
Good news! Trump was not TWINS! 😅 STILL LOOKING!
We are going to suffer before we die too. 😢 It's going to be starvation and stress.
I have on word to encompass our response to Trump. CLICK. That would be the sound of us shutting off access to oil, gas, water & electricity. Learn to read by candlelight & $10/gallon gas…
I saw a picture someone posted of organic eggs with a price tag of $23/ dz. Drumphf doesn't understand tariffs!!!😮
You and me both, Buddy. I'm desperately searching as well.
China is a 10% tariff on Fentyl … You know that drug coming thru the border??
Hawk talk about BRICS as well please. The mad one is looking at 100%tariffs on countries looking to joining BRICS.
They have moved the goal posts, but let's see that rubber band effect after a few years of much higher prices wears on everybody.
Yeaah paying more and pay the tariff is a patriotic thing to do 😮😮😮😮
Seriously you guys be safe there
The United States, as a trading partner, has become unpredictable, unreliable, and belligerent. How can anyone plan based on the mood swings of an infantile US president?
It's not just 25%. Because state and local taxes are applied to the new higher price.
Hunger Games, and soon The Purge.
Been yelling about this for awhile. Noone listened
He’s a fool. Acting like a tough guy. He’s nothing but a fool.
Tariffs are a bargaining chip to get companies to build in America. Drilling is to over supply the market. It's all a ploy to bring down prices. When the price of energy comes down, everything follows. If you bring you monthly electric bill from 400 to 200. Everything follows.
I also heard the nuclear option is a 100% tariff on tesla...he will never sell another car in canada again
Will be interesting to see if the prices go up immediately even on existing stocks ( seems to be the way ).
