This is more science related, but if I remember correctly, death in space would happen about two or three minutes after exposure (as after that point it has been found by NASA that the chances of recovery begin to drop off sharply), barring an explosive decompression being the way the person in question got into space, that is. If we're talking about an explosive decompression the shock from such an event would be enough to kill the individual instantly and may or may not result in the complete and bloody destruction of their corpse, depending on the circumstances (were they sucked out of a small gap, etc). After a couple of seconds of being exposed to the vacuum of space, a person would be rendered unconscious where they would then suffocate to death long before they froze to death, and yes, as stated their blood would "boil", though not because of the temperature but rather because of the vacuum its self. Of course if the space battle in question took place near a planet with a near by sun, a person exposed to the vacuum of space and direct sunlight would pass out and then be roasted alive by temperatures as hot as the oven in your kitchen, all while being irradiated. In short it would probably be more accurate to say that death would follow minutes afterwords, as opposed to seconds. Either way, death in space would not be a very pleasant thing.
NASA Astronaut Chris Hadfield talks about this in the very fist answer on this vid check it out - if you want to get into the precise details of exact time of death sure maybe it doesn't happen instantly but for all practical purposes, it does - th-cam.com/video/t6rHHnABoT8/w-d-xo.html
Unrelated space fact: The surface pressure of Venus is 90Bar compared to Earth's 1Bar. However, at 50km, the atmospheric pressure on Venus is equal to Earth's, meaning if we could sustain a floating station, humans wouldn't need any special pressure gear to survive. Not mentioning of course temperature and atmosphere composition, just thought it neat.
The Event Horizon movie has some sweet scene of exposure to vacuum of space without Spacesuit :) Also fun fact: Many fans theorize movie is set in Warhammer 40k universe . Why? See it out for yourself and check the movie, you won't regret it :)

It is stated as the original way to refer to a greater demon. It is used specifically to label Blood-Thirsters and no lesser demons. How many other names could possibly be adopted from non Latin languages!

Unrelated space fact:
The surface pressure of Venus is 90Bar compared to Earth's 1Bar.

I can understand why some might think that, as I have seen that movie. It wouldn't surprise me if the director of that movie took inspiration from Warhammer40k at the very least.
I definitely hope Hollywood gets desperate enough to start looking into things like Warhammer40k for inspiration, BUT only if they pick a good director and stick as closely as possible to the established lore.
@@edwhatshisname3562 Imho Sci-Fi ovies are one of the hardest to be well directed. Good balance between effects and acting. Christopher Nolan comes to my mind.
Luetin09, if you are still taking suggestions how about top 10 Death Worlds? Or the just the more notable ones?
or 'pointless-death' worlds and just pick any imperium planet
I wish there was a video dedicated to each type of ship class not just for the Imperial Navy but also for the Adeptus Astartes.
Olandew Gamers I want some graphic designer to do renders and artwork of the battleships. I still remember the sort of shite fire warrior game but my god did it give you an outstanding tone and atmosphere of a 40k ship.
i thought the Astarte used regular navy ships.
Luetin09 - just finished watching/listening to all your videos, and they are absolutely fantastic!! Very articulate, and it feels like I’m listening to a well put together documentary on BBC or something. Keep on going with the great material!
I like how imperial ships look like if you make a cathedral, a naval ship and a Destroyer from Star Wars fuck and then gave the baby all the black metal albums you could find
Luetin09, it occurs to me that you are the number one youtube selection for me. I honestly don't know or care about WH40K, but you're videos are fantastic! Thanks for what you do.
I love your videos so much !
You are clear while talking about the grim dark universe of wh40k, and I consider your music and picture/video choices so awesome ! :D
Thank you very much for what you're doing, I'm lovin' it !
I have recently started delving into the Warhammer lore and I am overwhelmed by the astoundingly massive data and stories as well as games on offer.
I’ve bought most of the games on sale (Mechanicus, Gladius, Total War: Warhammers 1,2,3; Battle Sector, Gothic Armada 2, Space Marine, etc.
Man my brain’s fried now.
Man!!!! You totally left me hanging! I can't wait for the 13 black crusade video!
15:20 ...so...space marines. Like actual marines lol
Never did like that Astartes are also called Space Marines, that’s largely a misnomer.
Luetin09 you're on a roll! Keep up the momentum on this glorious crusade.
you and @40k Theories should do more collabs! ive watched more of their videos to be honest but youve got amazing graphics to go along with all the info youre putting out. I think if the two of your channels (i know both of you are more than just 1/2 heads/voices per channel, you could put out some really amazing lore videos for not only the tabletop enthusiasts but the DoW1/2/3 players (i know ive played vastly more DoW1/2/3 than tabletop and ive always wondered what the emotions/drives behind each race/class have been. Which is why id love some direction (other than "read the books")
Mad props on the illustration choices, they go very well along with the narration.
Imperial Navy lore is my favorite, great job Luetin.
This should have been the video review on the Generation Film series: Best Sci-Fi Navy
I love listening to you narrating. Being comletely honest: you're the reason i'm interested in Warhammer 40K and its lore -so, Thank you! I am truly grateful I got to know these stories :D
*The editing!*
My pants have never been so full!!!!!
I would really love to hear you dig deep into the fleet lore. Especially the Tau, though I am a 'nid player myself it seems as if Tau space fairing capabilities are really interesting like the Kroot sphere ships and some of the rarer stuff as well.
Great vids, would love to see you tackle the black templars crusades, or war for armageddon 😁
Just subbed. Was an acid player back In the day. Listening to the lore is so good. Keep it up
I like the BF1 music in the background, rly was a great Game-Soundtrack
the most appropriate compliment i can give on your efforts in this you-tube channel, soo well done you've pulled me away from movies and my ART! (A hard feat to be sure) and I've went about purchasing most of the series based off your rich descriptive storytelling. take that for what you will.
"They could lose limbs or worse..." Like gaining limbs! Exterminate the mutants!
Love the BFV music in the background. Perfect for this video.
Pls make a video of the krieg death corps. They are awesome 🙃
Caradhras Mountain yes yes yes yes yes!! The EMPEROR wants that very much indeed!!
I requested this on the last clip too! 👍
Arch has an hour long video on it. it's very detailed and well made
Battle of vraks not good enough for you??
Not really
Great video. I would love to see you do a video on the Imperial Cult.
41st of the lore series completed 👏 a great listening whilst trudging through work!
Great video LT! Thanks for your hard work. I was wondering, would you ever consider making a short video giving your recommendations as to which 40k novels are your favorite and a recommended order in which to read them? I’d love to start reading some of the 40k novels but I’m not sure where to begin. Keep up the great work!
i've been wondering for a while now if the Empire still had the ability to build ships. this was a great video.
Love the narration style. Lends weight to what you talk about
As slick as ever. Doing the washing up is so easy /listening and watching your vids :P
I started playing Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 today
I'm a veteran Total War player, and I was delighted to realize it is a Total War knock-off focusing on naval battles.
The lore and cutscenes are incredible too.
Love this series of vids. Thank you Leutin
I love these videos. Trying to get caught up with lore, such a shame they aren't on Spotify!
You are the master of the 40k lore. Love your videos!
Inspired me to take up GA2 again, such a good game. And a great video, thanks!
{forgive the rant but read thru I promise curiosity will peak}Hi Luetin. Thank you for the labor of love you share with us. I have some 40k ,Farsi trivia for you. (Farsi is the language spoken by Afghans, Iranians, Kurds and Turks...) obviously these may not be anything more than a coincidence but I assure you that they are either pronounced correctly in Farsi or written in correct English phonics and pronounced differently
*Abaddon: Eternal. (pronounced and written perfectly)
*Ka’bandha (Khârn Bandha): servant of Khorne. ( word specific to servants of a god)
Shay-tan: Satan written and pronounced correctly from Arabic, adopted by many other languages of the region such as Farsi. this form appears in Watchers of the Throne. It is stated as the original way to refer to a greater demon. It is used specifically to label Blood-Thirsters and no lesser demons.
How many other names could possibly be adopted from non Latin languages!
Love your content. Excellent editing to make a video that keeps the attention of the viewer (more listener than watching tbh)
You don't get "sucked out" into vacuum. You get blown out by the leaking atmosphere.
Old misconception.
18:26 WE BOARDED….
Luetin: "...the ships will often have armoured prows...and these will then be used _in required circumstances_ to actually ram into other ships -"
Me in Battlefleet Gothic Armada II: *Every circumstance is a required circumstance.*
*_Ramming speed_*
With a shriek heard in nightmares from Medusa to Ultramar, the Black Fleet slipped it's moorings. An endless tide of heretics, deamons, traitors and madmen; who gave their fealty to a single dammed soul: Abbadon the Despoiler. Inheritor of Arch-traitor Horus' reviled legacy. The 13th Black Crusade, herald of a fresh age of nightmares, had begun.
And stalwart Cadia will be the first to feel it's wrath.
Any chance you'll do 40K book reviews and grading them?
They are all equally a must read
@13:00 "The slow blade penetrates the shield" said the Legend that is Patrick Stewart 👌
Luetin produces his videos with matchless efficiency
Everything. Everything is fucking perfect, the music, the pictures, the narration, the intonation, the ambience, fucking perfect. Bravo sir.
Antique starships those are the best stories . Just the technical aspects can enrich a story content by itself or become the main plot itself.
I'm on a binge again
A very extremely awesome video as always Luetin09.
This is probably your best looking video so far.
You should do something on the Adepta Soriritas
Once again, wonderful job dude!
