017 Practicing Abo (hammerstone & antler) Knapping a Tecpatl from a Tri-Flow Obsidian Spall

Abo knapping requires a slightly different method of preparing platforms and striking that I am still learning. I’ve been practicing for a while but this is the first time I filmed it. I have a long way to go before I’m remotely proficient with this method....I still enjoyed it.

Great technique, you are an obsidian master, it looks like you visit glass buttes often. I might be headed there in three or four weeks. Im getting hooked on how beautiful the rocks are. (glass)
