Taylor Ham vs. Pork Roll. You really stepped in it here. What's most important is that no matter what you call it, I'm glad in Mass we have the north shore beef.
So awesome! Thanks so much! Can’t tell you how much we appreciate you subscribing and taking the time to watch our videos. Looking forward to seeing you again in the comments of future videos👍
10:59 One reason we have a separate cab from our quarters: * during sudden manouveurs, nothing inside the quarters can get airborne and impact our delicate sensitive craniums. Would our beloved Scampers consider a barrier behind the front seats?
Great video guys love all the food I will remember not to go to Poop Pond LMAO, I 'am still broke down well I got the van running but no charging to camper back to dealer tomorrow stay safe guys
What a bummer regarding the alternator still not charging the camper. Hope they get that all fixed up for ya soon! Definitely don’t bother going to poop pond
So the Texarkana area smells so bad because of the paper mills around there. Y'all were just East of the Domino paper mill. Also, that Trooper was my husband 😁. Y'all made his day too.
Trooper Kody’s wife!!! It was super cool meeting Kody the way we did and then getting to coordinate a proper meeting in order to really say hello to one another. Thanks for the comment and for letting us know about the paper mill. I never knew the mills had that kind of an aroma
How awesome!! I lived in Tyler for 20-years before having to move to the Dallas area for my job. Safe Travels to south Texas and enjoy the beach! Not like Florida but it will do in a pinch! 🎉🎉
Thanks Jim! Tyler was a nice place. The planet fitness there was really sweet and the Cracker Barrel was one of the more quiet ones we’ve stayed at. I’m working on editing this weeks video of our beach trip to Port Aransas. Should be out Sunday
I could go for some of those right now! Man they were good. Got a couple ripe bananas here too. Fingers crossed I can get Marisa to make some tonight 😂
On your way to the coast, you should visit the Austin area. Roundrock still has the actual round rock it was named after and you can still see the ruts the wagon wheels left in the 19th century. Plenty of trails around Lake Georgetown, you can check out the bats in Austin, see a live band, go to 6th street, and soak up the "keep Austin weird " vibe.
Thanks for watching the video and for all the tips. When we circle back that way one day I’ll check them out. Any tips for South Padre Island? We’re down that way already and headed there next
@thecumminscamper They have an adventure center with zip lines and horseback riding. If you do the horses, you can get to more secluded area's of the beach and sometimes see some different things They also have sandcastle building classes and tons of fishing opportunities It is spring break, so plenty of bars and parties...but it use to get a little rowdy...not sure if you guys are looking for anything like that.
@@jimgriffin1560 we don’t mind when there are crowds and places are busy but we try and avoid places where people are going to get into altercations. We went to Burbon St a few weeks ago on a Saturday night and I felt like although everyone was in good spirits that things could change quickly and turn for the worst really fast. So if it’s not quite that kinda rowdy we’re happy. We’ll check out the sandcastle building classes. That sounds pretty interesting
Glad you could see the difference in the new camera. I felt like I could see a nice difference while editing. We’re super excited for S Padre Island. We’ve been in Port Aransas and that’s been wild with all the college kids in spring break. Thanks for watching and commenting Stephen! Appreciate the well wishes from Canada 🍁
Would have been back in November. Specifically November 15th. I have a tracking system for our travels and Nov 15th we went from our home in Lake Hopatcong down to Dewey Beach Delaware. We have a TH-cam video of that trip!
Awesome! 2 questions, 1. do you run the fridge on propane while running down the road and 2. having to do with the compost toilet, the black tank is for urine, is that what the hose was?
Thanks so much! I do run the fridge on going down the road. Sometimes I will put it on DC but if its hot outside the fridge can't keep up on DC. I'd like to wire my camper so I can flip a transfer switch and have all my AC components run off my inverter. Its on my to do list. Then I would run the fridge on AC going down the road as the fridge does much better with keeping up with hot temps on AC. For the composting toilet the hose you see leads into our grey water tank. I have removed the black tank completely and replaced it with a 25 gallon fresh water tank which connects to our existing factory fresh water tank providing us about 67 gallons of fresh water on-board. Then when we dump our grey tank our pee goes with it so we don't have that annoying pee jug that comes with the composting toilet.
@@thecumminscamper Arkansan here…. To many many people, that smell smells like bacon and eggs as well as steaks and potatoes. A lot of people are employed there! ❤
@@Ready2GoTravels totally understand that! Any American owned business providing jobs to American citizens is a beautiful thing regardless of if my nose 👃 is accustomed to the smell of the productions process 🇺🇸
We love the video, Eric! You have stepped up your B-roll and audio game 100% hopefully Marissa is feeling better. We noticed the audio blip when your scenes changed. Was that the problem you were having with your camera? Safe travels. P.S. did you burn your shit tickets too?
Thanks y’all! Always trying to improve the B-Roll. So glad you’ve noticed the increase. I learned a bunch hanging with Honey I Roam this winter and watching Guilietta edit and just chatting about how they make their videos. The audio blips had been driving me crazy. I didn’t realize if that was the camera or me using a low quality SD card. The camera kept freezing or the footage would have horizontal white/purple/pink lines in the shot. It was so frustrating. I think the new camera will solve both my issues. The color quality and low light quality is so much better with the new GoPro. I always burn the shit tickets!
Washington will be our last state besides Alaska to accomplish all 49 drivable states. I'm glad we've taken on the goal of visiting all 49. We've made fun memories by driving out of our way to visit places we otherwise never would have taken the time to see. Reminds you how much country there is here to experience
So is this how most composting toilets work, like having to basically pull the whole thing out n tip it upside down to empty? And secondly, how easy/difficult is it for your wife to lift it n dump it? 🍻
Yes, this is basically how a composting toilet works. The only thing I skipped in terms of the video footage was rinsing it out with a hose. Unfortunately the design of the toilet there are some corners that after you flip it upside down compost and poo get caught so although you don’t have to rinse it, I try to rinse it whenever I change it. Marisa has no problem lifting the toilet to change the compost. It’s not very heavy. Maybe 30lbs with “everything“ in it
We’re working our way back and loving getting closer. I was just talking with Ed a bunch 2 days ago about spots in the Padre Island area where we’re at now.
Magnolia Beach is good too. Be prepared for rust. We never had a speck of rust on our truck till we spent four days on the water in Texas. It literally ate through a walmart chair and we had to toss it. @@thecumminscamper
Oh yeah, u guys got strong controls on your smell senses, no way could i handle staying someplace that smelled like the schitz house. Had a condo for 20 yrs that was in the breeze path for when the city opened up sewer plants air system, always occurred on hot nights only! when u wanted to open your windows for fresh air 🙄, and ya only got a strong 💩 smell coming inside, which kicks in my 🤢 reflex. Just absolutely hated it! I guess u could say i got a dainty delicate sense of smell lol for that 💩.🍻
That sounds similar to our experience here haha. We stayed inside when the wind was blowing the smell in our direction. Thankfully the camper was a safe haven for our noses. Thanks for watching and for commenting!!

I miss that north shore beef so bad. I struggle to have roast beef anywhere else because the north shore beef benchmark is so high
It's always nice when you meet a down to earth cop. Friendly and helpful.
That’s what I hope to experience with everyone we interact with in life. Someone down to earth, friendly and helpful.
Most all of the camp sites frown on scavenging wood from the area they have places you can buy bundles
Thank you
Very good videos! Keep them coming!
Thanks so much! I’m editing our next one now for this upcoming weekend. Hopefully another Saturday freshy
It's so cool!

After they dry, I can re-use them!
Paper towels hurt my nose after a while if I’m truly sick 🤒

I've thought about putting something but we'd need a way for the cat to get into the back from the front

Like I told Edward Walker, you aren’t a full timer till you’ve ditched those chair storage bags to save weight and time. lol.
That’s a pretty good idea. Especially for my crappy Walmart chair.
It’s supposed to smell like poop…it Arkansas. My sister lives there and every trip we made there it smelled like crapola. Travel safe!!
Hahahaha I didn’t know that was what to expect. Next time my expectations will be better managed 🤣
We are staying at Landry vineyard in May

Nice free site. Bummer about the smell. Sounds like general LA swamp smell which yes, may as well be poop.
Turns out it was a mill and the process emits a poop like scent
