Excellent video - informative and you are a natural teacher. Picking up a 501s nexy week and this modification is planned. Please keep the videos of your future mods coming.
I made this video for IMS so I was focused on the install. I'll have a video coming out later talking about the bike and what all I have done. I will tell you I think it looks awesome. It really looks like how the bike should have came.
It looks like a lot of fuel will be left on either side of the tank and the pump unable to use that fuel unless you slosh it back and forth. Switching to the old style pump or the taco moto snorkle they will soon come out with should solve that problem.
I'm curious how well the pump picks up all the fuel that sits down low in the tank. Seems like you'll still only have access to the top half worth of fuel. I was hoping there would be some kind of extended pick up hose. Great video. Look forward to your review.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. It's been a fun project!
Thanks. I had trouble getting the pump out of the tank. I didn't want to be too aggressive.
Yeah, they are a little difficult to get out.
Would love to see a few angles on what it actually looks like. This is the only vid I can find of this new tank. Thanks!

Super, can't wait!@@arkansasoutdoorschannel1867

You're welcome!

Correct but I haven’t ran out yet and I plan on the new Taco kit

You have to rely on the fuel sloshing around with the factory pump. Tacomoto is working on a different pick up.
@@arkansasoutdoorschannel1867 I think I'll do this with the new fuel pickup is ready.
I don't have a 501 but it was a cool watch!😁
Thank you for watching the video!
@@arkansasoutdoorschannel1867 I do possible want a 500/501. I have a 690 and Tdub now. Maybe a 500/501?🤔
@@frostbitevinnie I have a TDub and a CRF300l. The 501 is lighter than the TW with over 50hp. It's fun but a little more bike then I'm use to!
