The model looks great Peter! One thing that might help you when painting yellow is a trick that figure modelers use. They start with the darkest yellow available to them like an ochre yellow then add the lighter yellow finish coat last. That way you have better coverage and use less paint even when thinning. I am looking forward to your next model.

You are right. Painting yellow (and bright red!) is a pain in the butt. But you did it well.
