My mother made more than my father several years, and I've never witnessed anything short of love and admiration between the both of them. They are old school, traditional, both raised in devout Christian households. Nearly 40 years intensely in love and committed to each other. You are lost if you are doing anything less than supporting your spouse achieving their highest potential. If you are competing with your spouse for who will/shall/must bring in more resources, you have issues in your relationship you need to work out.

This is a myth. It depends on the woman and how the woman was raised. New age feminist women will have that mindset. Most women won't. My neighbor who is now passed away was a plumber and his wife was the judge at our downtown court house. She cleared over 200k a year and he barely made 65k a year as a freelance plumber. They were both carribean and they stayed married for 50 years until he passed away. Her upbringing in a conservative christian carribean home made it so that she had a certain level of respect and love for her husband and would never rub the fact she was more educated and had more money in his face. And ijust from me being around them he treated her like a queen in response to that. We used to go over their crib on the weekends and she was cooking and they were both cleaning, etc.
