- Today we ask Spirit about the energy around the 2024 election in November. How are things looking for the democrats and the republican.

I hope the women come out in droves. Trump couldn't care less about abortion, or religion. He is a yes man to anyone and anything that will get him a vote. And those people pulling his strings are dangerous as hell. If he wins life in America, and by extension, the free world, will be very different. Many of the freedoms we have fought for will disappear. This is what he will unleash.

If men think about it abortion rights effect them. Eg their son gets his teenage girlfriend pregnant. If he is well raised he will support the baby and that is unplanned expenses for a teenage boy as well. Suddenly his parents have to help as well
After roe there was a shift to the democrats in men with young daughters. Daddies don’t want their daughters get hurt. Even Archie Bunker and Al Bundy loved their daughters and would vote for Joe

I was a person who voted every election and never REALLY worried about the next president, no matter who it was... until after Trump was in office for a while. He showed his true nature. I don't understand how people think he's an honorable person!

I live in New York. I know Trump's behavior. It's well known here. From stiffing contractors, marriages, divorcees, bankruptcies, and lying. He was tolerable as a TV show host, but definitely not president. He is a waste of human flesh.

I object to calling people who dislike Biden “real progressives.” One can be a real progressive and recognize that either D or R will end up president and with R presenting serious threats to our rights and freedom, it is necessary to seat D. Getting caught up in some fantasy about third party or being a one issue voter does not make one more progressive. It just makes them irrational. Real progressives will do whatever is necessary to prevent us going backwards and act to move in the direction of positive change, even when the change is slow.

Or, as one of the guys whose dad was the former chief Justice of the circuit court,who was definitely an Eisenhower Republican said, “My dad must be rolling in his grave right now. Well, as a Gen-X er myself, I can say that I will sleep a lot more comfortably knowing the future for my kids is going to be better with Biden. You don't have to necessarily like Biden or his performance, but you do have to consider what it would look like if Trump gets another term...

I found Thom Hartmann on TH-cam and his quiet informative insights on the softly, softly proposed machinations of Republicans (even State Republicans) is eye opening. He was warning about the Republicans forcing the implementation of the Comstock Act with regard to the carriage and receipt of the morning after pill, birth control etc around two months ago. Hardly a post goes by that he is not revealing some new cruel proposed insanity.

My dad walked out on us when my sister and I were just starting school. My mom raised us alone. She had to learn to drive and find a job to support us. She taught us by example to be strong independent women. I married a farmer and did as much field work as he did. I took care of milking and was just as capable at lambing. I worked with him doing fencing and also worked outside the home. I am 70 now and have never allowed a man to tell me what to do or when to do it. That Republican's think I am stupid enough to listen to their garbage BS they are very very mistaken.😊

So glad you guys are tuned into the “woman” power ❤ many years ago my husband and I were watching a documentary on grizzly bears in British Columbia …there was a mama bear at the beach with her twin cubs (let’s call them Gary and David LOL) fishing for salmon …along came the male grizzly …several pounds larger than the female …the mother bear laid such a lickin on the male that he turned tail and ran like heck to get away from her ! This was the moment that I turned to my husband and said …now that’s the way a Mama feels about her children …you never want to to go down that road! In the 90s I voted for a pro-choice Republican gubernatorial candidate. I remember a time when fiscally conservative limited government meant letting people live their lives without government intervention. I barely survived two life threatening pregnancies. If my daughter experiences the same complications she will die. This election is life and death for us.
