I want Carol Danvers to become Warbird and ditch the Captain Marvel moniker. I think she's better OUTSIDE the spotlight where she isn't forced into leadership or main character plots.
The idea of the "circuit" created through the M'Kraan crystal seems a bit half baked (or at least not well explained here). What is it about Moira's 10 lives that would aid the resurrection of the Phoenix? I suspect the endgame here is that the piece of Krakoa and the mutants currently in the White Hot Room (as well as some from Moira's other past lives?) will remain there permanently "within" the crystal as part of the end of the Krakoan age.
Extremely old comic book reader since original Phoenix Saga entering the chat.....It's these writers again going off half baked trying to tie everything together nice and neat without respecting canon. They had to find a way to manifest The Phoenix and make it be the focal point of the story without the vessel being in the story. It's pure bullshyt that a gate can be made to the White Hot Room which is also ONLY ACCESSABLE BY FORMER VESSELS OF THE PHOENIX, which is beyond the here after, at least without Jean taking people there, and just....a rabbit hole of sheer unadulterated bullshyt. It's gonna be successful because the writers count on readers not knowing canon or caring. And us old folks being excited about the return of our all-time favs. I despise the disrespect of canon and I'm so ready for it all to be over and the new books can't get here quick enough. Send Rachel, who can enter the White Hot Room without a bullshyt reason, to wake mommy up and bring this to an end. Ijs
