Switching between modes is a great feature! But, because it requires getting up, walking over to the monitor, fumbling for the button, and pressing it, and doing it with each monitor separately - that means I won't be using this feature, and I would really like to, it's something I could buy these monitors for. I want to say that you need some kind of application to switch between modes, or some kind of desktop monitor control panel, so that all switching is done in a couple of movements, without getting up from your seat, this is very important.
if only they added bluetooth to the speaker, then they can program their app so that your phone/tablet can control the entire speaker (& also adds wireless playback options)
I'm about to buy the KRK S6 V4 are you updating them as well i do not want to buy them if you are releasing a new line and those are 8 years now... thanks
I like it would be nice if these cool features could be controlled remotely wether its via an app or remote, having to go behind the desk to switch listening modes is a bit much to ask and will probably keep me from using that feature as much. But I love the built in eq and I'm looking forward to using this.
100%! They need to be on an app or a switch that plug into the back. An app would definitely be the easiest way if they had a built in Bluetooth function.
I'd like to say yes. Don't have a pair of G4's, but just bought a pair of G5's. The noise is there, when I put my ear to the tweeter. I can't hear any at the distance I'm listening at (let's say 1.2m, about 4 ft), ambient noise is louder. Same goes for Focal Alpha 50 Evos, but KRKs don't overpower my sub. I've returned Klipsch R-40PMs due to excessive tweeter noise with no input, Presonus Eris 4.5's are rather noisy when you aim them at your ears at the mentioned distance too. So, I'm keeping the G5s and returning the 50 Evos too.
@@RandomDj-oy9zh I have 8G4 also and hiss has been always there, but it only disturbs, when speakers do not play any sound(as example computer turned off and speakers electric power is connected). My speakers play always some sound(music), so hiss is not audible at all.
I wish you guys would make a horizontal sitting 3-way Rokit model: 1 inch tweeter, 3 inch midrange and 8 inch woofer. I know I am a nobody but if anyone at KRK sees this comment please consider it. I think it would sell very, very well for aspiring producers like myself. Having that dedicated midrange driver would make a huge difference.

Hi! It all comes down to personal preference, but these are the most current version with new features to help you shape the EQ for your room! Well worth checking them out for sure. The 3 voicing modes are SUPER handy for producers!
@@KRKSYSTEMS Big fan of your products. I honestly have a small standard apartment room. I feel like the 7’s are perfect, but was contemplating on the 5’s. So is there much difference in terms of the sound quality? Or is the major difference the new Voicing Mods?

I have a couple of questions about the KRK Rokit 8 G5. I'm wondering whether studio monitors are actually a good choice for pure music enjoyment, or should I look into regular speakers instead? I'm planning to use them purely for music listening (not production) in my home office (4.4m x 2.6m), connected to a Topping DX3 Pro+. I'm considering the 8" version since I won't be using a subwoofer, but I've heard that speakers that are too large for the room can actually worsen the sound. They would be positioned behind my desk, and I typically listen at moderate volumes. Would you recommend these monitors for my use case, or should I consider the 5" or 7" version instead? Thanks in advance!
Is the same like the G4 Versions. Only difference is this useless grid at the front of the speakers, and the mounting holes on the bottom. I am happy with my RP8 G4
I have the 4th generation and I'm not satisfied with them, because they have too much background noise when I'm not playing something, probably from the class d amplifier, I'll switch to adam audio or yamaha
@@michagorecki8893 I have a focusrite gen 4 audio interface and I use an xlr cable for the monitor and trs focusrite output and they are all connected to the same socket. I thought it was a grounding loop but no, I separated the cables and still the same background noise
Pretty shitty that you dont allow people to do any kind of custom EQ with the DSP or have a remote for switching the modes. Most peoples rooms are a little more messed up than needing a 2db 200hz dip for a desktop. Seems like a waste.
