I used to go to South Hills Village Mall as a kid in the 90s and early 00s. Man, it changed a lot. It used to look a lot nicer. There used to be fountains, palm trees, and color. It's super gray and forgettable now.
I guess "thriving" is in the eye of the beholder. Monroeville Mall breaks my heart every time I go there. What it used to be is amazing. Now even at Christmas time it's empty. Too many non-name brand stores there too.
@@gildersleevefan67 I mean compared to a lot of malls of comparable size South hills village is still relatively kicking. A lot of malls now are just will have maybe 20% capacity tenants filled.
Any time I go to South Hills Village, I see another store front closed. Yet somehow it's always busy. Like... 1pm on a Tuesday it's busy.
Haha! That’s funny we released the Monroeville Mall video the same day! I think you took inspiration 😂😀 Awesome video, better than mine!
You could say that, but I really was just sitting on this footage for months, and figured I’d upload it now

Gang bangers (usual suspects) ruined that mall.
