I was paying for the upgraded version but since I have Adobe I found myself doing all my work there and then sending it to the cutter software. Since I own the adobe it did not make sense
Nothing wrong with using this method at all. Adobe is the industry standard and if you have the creative cloud you can do almost everything in it.

Hi I have the KI-720 CUTTER. All my connection as shown in the Cutter Manual. The software installed as instructed. My ISSUE is, the cutter is not receiving my files to cut them. The USB COM matches the same as in the Device Management COM. i need help! Anyone Please.

To get a file from Corel to Vinyl Master you will have to export your file from Corel draw as a .SVG file and then open it up in Vinyl Master.

how do i find the punch out option
I used this program for years and decided to look into an upgrade. With zero issues in the past... once I declined that upgrade it has continually crashed and is now basically useless. You decide what happened, and choose wisely when trusting any company these days.
Having trouble welding a specificpiece in a number I need to cut. Each time I select the items I want to weld it does something I don't want it to do. Is there anyway I could get some help with that? Thanks
I really enjoyed this video! One thing I’ve been trying to find out about in the program is the offset. Mine came pre set at .030 or .30 or something like that. What does it need to be set at? I have a mh mk 871 and I use orical 651 and easyweed. Thanks!
Blade offset is a measurement of how far the tip of the blade is from the center of the blade. For example, the pen tool would have a blade offset of 0 since the tip of a pen as directly on center. The blade is cut on an angle, so the tip of your 45 degree blade is .30 mm from the center. For pen tool your blade offset should be set to 0 and for 45 degree blade and 60 degree blade your blade offset should be set to .30
FlexiSign has a "nesting" feature. Does VinylMaster Cut 4.2 has something similar?.. If so, I can't find it.

You can create custom color palettes in VinylMaster or you can use the eye-dropper tool to click on a Siser color on a webpage to set it as your current color, but you cannot import the entire Siser color palette in one go. Is there a place on the Siser site where the color RGB values are available in a format that could be imported to any other software? If so, we can ask the developers of VinylMaster to work on an import method in a future software release.
I am having problems as the start and stop points of the cutting not cutting it all the way. is there a setting to make it go over that spot a little bit more.?
That doesn't have anything to do with Vinyl Master, but is related to your blade and machine. I would just replace my blade and adjust your blade depth to see if that fixes it. If it doesn't it may be something with the machine and you will want to contact support.
Why sometimes does not all of my text cut even after I group and weld?
In VinylMaster you will see three very small circle/square icons in the lower right hand area of the screen. Click on the rightmost icon to see the wireframe view of what lines the cutter will cut. If that is correct and you are still not cutting what you expect, you can perform a testcut of the blade depth and downforce of the cutter to ensure it is cutting through the vinyl. I must clarify better. The cutter just quits in the middle of the cut without finishing it. It was fine 2 days ago and now this.

Make sure you have the image selected. It wont show unless you have the image selected. If you have it selected and it still doesn't have the vectorize button on it you may already have the image vectorized or you have multiple objects selected and one of them is vectorized and the other is not.

What picture type do I need for the vinyl cutter ? It’s telling me my image can’t cut

Thank you so much for all the helpful info. Question.. You were using a cutting mat for a 8.5 x 11 piece of paper. How small of paper/ vinyl can be used without a cutting mat or does that depend on the cutter? I will be using 11 to 13 inch printable transfer paper. Wondering if I need to purchase a mat. Thanks
Use of a cutting mat is mostly dependent on how thin that material is you are trying to cut and whether or not that material has a backing layer that will not be cut. If you are cutting all the way through the transfer paper, you will likely need a cutting mat or a carrier sheet. These can be found at: www.uscutter.com/Vinyl-Cutter-Carrier-Sheets

what computer system is compatible with a vinyl cutter I have a mini Mac and it doesn't work with my cutter
You would use the Sure Cuts A Lot software and can use any cutter we offer except the MH. The MH cutter does not currently work with Mac no matter what software you use.
I cant seem to find the vectorizer tool on my software, is the vectorizer not available on the Cut Basic ED?
It is, you probably have an image selected that is already vectorized.
Please tell me, how can I write with the pencil, without having an outline from a graphic?
All vinyl cutters rely on the file being a vector format. Create what every you want to write and then convert it as an .SVG The font will have to be something special that is just a single stroke.

@@Electro-sportDe Its the pen tool in Vinyl Master that does this. It may be that you just have to create your own letters with this tool and then copy and paste them however you need them. Vinyl Master also vectorizes everything.

hi , i wanna ask, my cutting plotter , always cut vinyl with no 100% accuacy,. example , if i cut a square box, its always cut a corner with no 90 degree precision. its alwasy look like a circle. do you have any solutions? thanks
One possible cause of your issue is that your blade offset is not set correctly. Page 27 of the MH user manual (link below) shows and example of rounded corners issue. In VinylMaster software you can set the blade offset to as value of 0.35 mm for a 45 degree blade. In VinylMaster when you send a job to be cut a window will open and at the top you will see three tabs - general/cutter_control/settings. Under the cutter_control tab you will be able to c heck the box to enable blade offset and adjust the offset value. Hope this helps. www.uscutter.com/static/PDFs/MH_Manual_06152016.pdf

I am having a difficult time understanding my program and if I have the correct version for my project. I'm working with a logo that I want to repeat on a loop continuously . I have Signmaster but do I have to correct software with my vs specailist 28
You are asking about another piece of software and a machine from a different company than what is being shown here.

I am having trouble getting images to trace 2 different colors. It is vectorizing the outline in 2 colors instead of the outline then the inside why is this?
Within the vectorizer panel you should see a small counter at the bottom left that allows you to select how many colors to use during vectorizing. Also, to the far right of that counter you will see an eyeball in a square, which allows you to turn on/off the background. I have been doing research and watching tons of vids to learn how to cut a decal in two pieces using vinyl master........( a decal when complete is 3 ft square)...

If the decal has two pieces that fit together you would have to think about how the two pieces fit together - either a straight line down the middle, or maybe try to hide the seam by cutting along lines in the design near the middle. If you want to achieve tiling (split design into 2 or more pieces) you should upgrade to VinylMaster PRO. How do you determine exactly how much vinyl per color to use on a job?
Unfortunately, the program does not have any means of automatically calculating how much vinyl you will need. A possible workaround may be to use the auto-arrange capability to re-position same color segments for maximum cutting efficiency and then manually calculate the area used by looking at the height and width numbers displayed.
Can you export images cause I just bought pro and I can’t export at all
If you are wanting to do the image editing and exporting, that is all done in the DSR version.
Is there a difference between letter and pro?
Letter will give you features like Arch text and text on a path. Pro gives it more vector design capabilities, power shapes, clip art, and tiling just to name a few things.

Exactly, He had to talk too fast to keep up, but it was clear and precise and the videos can be stopped and started to take notes. The more I listened, the more I was convinced that this whole program is nearly identical to my CorelDRAW programs and that is a bonus for learning. I have been using Corel since it's early days of 89. I outlived my Roland GX-24 and upgraded to the 34" cutter MH 871-MK2 downgrade, but I don't need all the bells and whistles. What I do want is the 32" wide cuts x 8' long, which will be great for banners and billboards. I don't cut stencils for silk screening any more because digital wiped me out and can no way compete for real estate and political jobs.

Not sure I understand the question here, but you can certainly layer vinyl by creating different sizes of outlines around text. VinylMaster can easily do what you are asking if I understand your question.

How to ungroup images
If the image is already vectorized you just need to select the item and press Control and U at the same time to ungroup the objects. pressing Control and G will group them back together.

Why will mine not poll media. I rely on this a lot.
Not sure what you mean by poll media - are you asking if the software can automatically determine the width of the media? That requires the cutter to have special optics to send information to the software and not all cutters have this. Can you please explain more of what you are expecting the the software to do.
Yes sir. That’s what I’m talking about. I have a Graphtec 6000-60 plus. With the Graphtec Studio Pro it poll sizes my media but the Poll Media button on vinyl master is Greyed out.
I rely on it a lot because the cutter head goes to the pinch rollers. So I can’t say 20” media because it’s not, minus the pinch roller space and it’s very time consuming to measure the space between them every time I swap from roll to sheet or different size rolls.
@@shaunspivey8718 The ability to poll media depends on communication between the two sides where the camera/sensor on the cutter is able to send information about what it sees so that the software can determine where the edge of the media is. I believe in this case that Graphtec and Vinylmaster have not specified a common communications protocol between the two sides that would allow this (hence why it is greyed out). We can make a request to both Graphtec and Vinylmaster to add this functionality for the 6000-60 in the future, however at this time we would have to conclude that the short answers is "feature not supported at this time". Your only option at the moment would be to use Graphtec Studio Pro in situations where the poll media function is critical to you.

Question, can you utilize vinyl master Pro to run the Sawgrass sublimation printer? Or at least create a design for that? Maybe even use it to import photos and manipulate them for sublimation?
Yes, you can use Vinylmaster to create and manipulate designs for a Sawgrass sublimation printer. Just set you printer to be the Sawgrass Virtuoso Print Manager (instead of the printer directly) and you should get excellent results. We do it here all the time.
How would you do slicing?
Not sure what you mean by slicing, but if you mean a slice as you would see in Abobe Illustrator then this is not supported in VinylMaster. If you mean to cut an object into two separate pieces, then you would have to either manually edit the nodes or upgrade to a higher level of VinylMaster that supports what you are trying to do. How do you crop out parts of an image ?
I assume you are talking about a raster image that is made up of pixels such as a photograph. If you are not doing it very often, you could try using Microsoft Paint (free) to color the entire background white and the the VinylMaster vectorizer would be able to recognize white as a background. If you are doing this often, you would need a program like Photoshop to erase a background. The highest level of VinylMaster (DSR) used by designers has a background removal feature as well. Say I bring an image into the work area and it has a border or circle around it. Is there anyway to box around the image u want to keep then hit enter, so everything outside the box is erased?

When you click on the Cut Icon to send a job to the cutter, it will open a window that says "send to be cut" in the upper right hand corner. Next to that text you will see a tab that is called "cutter control" and you can set the speed and force to be controlled by VinylMaster in that tab

Once in the Vinyl spooler you can set the number of them and it will give you a view of what to expect on the piece of vinyl you have in the cutter.

Hi! Is there any difference between Vinylmaster and signmaster?
One huge difference is that the USCutter version of VinylMaster CUT (entry level software) has a vectorizer. That on its own makes it much more compelling. There are also differences in the drivers and the UI that are optimized for select cutters.

With the large JPEG files if you just make them smaller in Photoshop you won't have the background issues, FYI.

I can't figure out how to erase something. I have a design and there is a tiny piece i dont want on it, but can't figure out how to erase anything
Have you vectorized your image? Once it's vectorized, you then want to ungroup everything. If it is a tiny piece that is separate from everything then you should be able to delete it. If it is attached to a larger object, then use the node edit tool and delete some nodes and move them around until you are happy.
I'm a big fan on communication and time spent. That was great especially on Contour Cutting. Most straight forward understandable tutorial on something that's been overly-explained into the realm of complication. After viewing this video on Vinyl Master I'm thinking on getting it. It seems making work much easier, minimizing learning curves and spending time that really counts in a sign business and that is productivity, meeting deadlines and onto the bank.. Crazy question, I have the Vevor 34" plotter and it comes with Sign Master. Is it the same kind of software as vinyl master? Like can I learn Sign master with your tutorials? Just FYI I haven't set the plotter or software up yet, it's kinda intimidating lol

There are so many different factors that could be causing this issue. It really depends on type of substrate you are printing or transferring onto. Some other factors are ink/toner blends from 3rd parties may not be the same as the OEM manufacturers causing discoloration. It could also be that you may have an outdated printer driver installed as well.

How can I set the exact position of the slide in the program? If I put the foil in the middle of the plotter and 6 cm to the left, where there is no foil and 8 cm to the right, where there is no foil, how does that recognize the plotter? And how can I determine exactly where on the slide the plotter should start, left, right, center, bottom or top?

How to give a curve to writing is it possible I cld not find option
I have a very important question, so I peeled and threw away part of my vinyl project only to discover that it was the wrong part, I was supposed to weed the oppitoste of it. is there anyway I can cut just a certain part of a vinyl project at the he exact same measurements as to not waste the rest of this perfectly good vinyl that I already weeded otherwise perfectly. I couldn't find the answer to my question anywhere.
If it has enough unused vinyl for you to perform another cut and is still attached to the backer then you should be able to cut it with no issue. If its a smaller scrap, you may want to try putting it on a carrier sheet and then running it through the vinyl cutter. Watched so many vids...still my send to cutter button is grayed out..device have been installed so have software..test run was successful I see it works..just not allowing me to actually send my image to cut
Sounds like the image has not been vectorized and is not pushing it to the Send To Cut popup.

Question. Will this program and machine work in South Africa. Stupid question but I had things brought in to South Africa only to find out the it does not work in my country.
I do not see why the program would not work worldwide. You must be experiencing some other problem specific to your country, most likely a driver issue related to your specific cutter. USCutter supports cutters purchased from us in the USA but we do not have any formal support for the rest of the world. Depending on your issue, you could try first the USB port and then the serial port to see if one works when the other does not.

Is there a way in this software to select different outlines in the same file and set different cut pressures for each line. Trying to trick it into doing a kiss cut then a full cut through on the backing on the other line. End goal is to do a cut out square, all way through backing. Then I want to cut a hole out at the top to create a hang tag hole. I want a ready to go peelable vinyl decal. Gcc ar24, I have no reg mark reader. Just want these cuts done on the first pass if you can understand what I'm saying.
Different outlines in the same file are easy (Tools bar down the right hand side can set solid or dotted lines) but there is no way to set a different pressure for each line. Most people would need to step up to a cutter that supports registration marks such as the Laserpoint3 and then cut as two separate files.
@@uscuttervideos yeah, I'm aware of that. I have the gcc Ar24. Wasn't smart enough to know all that in the beginning. Just seems like an easy software setting to set a red color to a line and apply pressure settings, then set another line color as blue and set a different pressure. I use Greats Cuts

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to "split" a vector shape. For example, say I have just a long thin rectangle that I am using to underline text. I cannot figure out how to split that shape into two separate lines. My workaround has been to put a white (invisible) shape over the line and then screenshotting the split line and re-vectorizing the screenshot. Any help with this would save me hours and hours.
To underline, why not just use a polyline instead? On the left hand side of your screen you will see a tool that looks like a pen. Click on the lower right hand corner of the pen too to see three options (freehand/curve/polyline). Select polyline and then click at the start and end points of where you want to draw your line. Click the select arrow at the top of the same toolbar where you say the pen tool to stop adding more line segments to your polyline. There is also a DONE button in the same upper left area to stop adding line segments. Hope this helps.
Can I contour cut images and decals if I have a Titan 1 cutting?? What contour printer and kind of paper do I need?
The Titan1 does not have the required sensor to read registration marks. Most any kind of paper that you can print on will work. You should be looking at a Titan3, Laserpoint3 or PrismCut.
