    Thanks for the video. I am a loyal viewer. Respect the energy you put into it. You may have to take into account that the council will find something of your 'work of art' at a certain point. I think that's called 'planning permission' in England (?). Perhaps an idea to place shrubs or a hedge so that the structure is not visible from the public road? The legendary Fred Dibnah also got into trouble with the council when he wanted to make a replica of a mine shaft. I just wanted to share that with you. It would be a shame if later on rules are imposed or (worse) a building stop. If you can take (something) into account that might always help something. Good luck with your great project!👍

    I think your TurboConqueringMegaEagllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee intro needs to be longer!!!! It's all looking great out there, nearly time for very exciting developments. It'll be great when you have added the runners for the lift car/platform/cage/whatever, but I'm glad you hadn't already done that because we would have been deprived of the Turbo Conquering Mega Eagle spin of doom down the lift shaft - I was expecting you to get dizzy and fall off the platform at any second, dropping the camera and lift remote in the process!!! You guys are a friendly lot here so I'm looking to be educated, I have noticed that the intake manifolds on the quicker cars at the tracks have a sort of wedge shape, I know I'm simplifying the shape, well the thick end to the throttle body, I understand this has been developed to ensure the air pressure would be equal along its length so the cylinders nearest the firewall relieve air at the same pressure as the leading cylinders, I do understand this. What I don't understand is why they don't do the same with the fuel rails, I noticed that Tom Bailey was finding that his injectors at the back of both sides were not able to keep up with demand when racing. I saw his were just like all the rest and square tubes. Would you guys think that if the fuel rails were shaped similarly to the intake manifold they could produce equal pressure along its length and take some of the load off of the injectors? Or am I talking shit?

  • @vanmanmarc
    @vanmanmarc ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I had a thought about your pumping issues. Didn't say anything because you reached the bottom when I thought about this, but you have a lot of digging left to go, so might be a consideration. Instead of a pump, what about an elevator. Get some 8-10" drainage pipe and mount it to the side of the steps. Then make a chain of fire extinguishers and run them up the pipe. Make a small hopper at the bottom of the shaft and the chain runs up the back of it. It will handle muck and water. At the top it could self empty into your dumper truck. If anything falls down the shaft it will be a small amount rather than a cement mixer barrel full, and in a pipe falling water and other debris will be contained and exit on the next bucket. Use a small 12v motor and you could drive it off the solar panels you had on your containers if you still have them. A windscreen wiper motor or mobility scooter motor should be perfectly able with a bit of gearing. Doesn't need to be quick, just constant. As always I can't wait for your next video.

      Mate, I got offered a combine grain screw a few years ago but turned it down. would have been good.
      Unfortunately now I've got the shaft dug I really think it's going to be a headache fitting additional systems down the shaft and I'm focusing on just moving the muck out in bulk, it'll be fiddly to start with but once I've made some space and am working in 6' wide tunnel I'm hoping to pull out 1/4-1/2 ton at a go.

      @turboconqueringmegaeagle9006  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davelowe1977 it's a better solution than just throwing power at the problem and hoping to get a faster lift that way.
      Using plates would be difficult as I'd want to leave clearance and those concrete manhole rings are well out of round but I do have corners that will become wasted space like those besides the ladder and whatever weight I used could be 8' tall.
      Got to see how the cable is routed on an actual lift, if I use a separate cable run I can only ever offset the weight of the lift car which is probably still worth doing as I'd like to make a really elaborate lift eventually but not sure I'm up for deviating from the drum I already have on the 20 ton winch.

On how to cable it: can you not have two live ends of cable with several wraps only around the drum such that when it rotates, one end goes on while the other comes off? Or if that sounds a bit sketchy could you 1:1 gear off the pulley to a slave drum for the counterweight?
