這個PV交代了燕雲十六聲的時代背景，五代十國（907年－979年）是中國歷史上的一段大分裂時期，很多中國人對這段歷史其實都不是非常了解，因為它太「亂」了，亂到連歷史教科書都不忍心折騰我們，「自安史之亂後，唐朝逐漸衰微，軍閥混戰不斷直到趙匡胤基本統一了全國，建立了宋朝。」就這35個字，描述了205年的五代十國歷史。
PV中的將軍名叫王清，五代十國後晉名將，曾率兵北伐契丹，最終身死異鄉。歷史上的王清沒有建立標準意義上的豐功偉業，關於他的記載也非常少。但是在燕雲十六聲中的故事，玩家初入清河，便有將軍祠。那是百姓為王清將軍建祠立像，供奉這位「燕北盟」的創立者。也將從那場由王清率領的、註定失敗的戰役說起。盛世破碎，河山凋零，人們曾做出過怎樣的努力？又曾發出怎樣的聲音？

But in the story in Where Winds Meet, when the player first enters Qinghe, there is a general temple. That was when the people built a shrine and statue for General Wang Qing to worship the founder of the "Yanbei League". It will also start from the doomed battle led by Wang Qing.
