Good to let the cable out fully from the drum from time to time - to release the tension and 'set', and to respool it neatly it also gives a chance to check it for any defects (fraying, rust, crimps etc)... you had enough straps onboard you could almost have recovered that from the fuel station... a tip for the radio use (use voice activated units if possible so both of you are hands-free)... give them the radio, and tell them to put it on the dash or in the console (hands free) and to just listen to your instructions, unless you ask them a specific question and ask them to use the radio to answer or confirm...

a few things i do is put winch cable in the old dolley tire. its easy to store and doesn't catch on every thing when stored. when you have long pulls. also i pull the tire lift out sideways to help stable the tow truck. thanks Casey for theses videos.
used to work for a tow/recovery operator, and while they DID 'eat' the occasional bill, if the 'root cause' was driver stupidity - sand + RWD + skinny tires - the tow truck got paid... if you do everything for low (or no) cost, you'll go broke right quick...

getting *stuck* 🙃 🤷♂️
@@rythemzlatinCasey will have to start training Riley now just to have enough people to keep up with the demand for recoveries. Haha!
You are an absolute wonderful human being I live in Pennsylvania but if I ever get out to Oregon area I will look you up just so I can shake your hand keep up the good work you know if 10% of the human population was as kind as you we would have a much much better world❤❤❤ your wife and your daughter ought to be very very proud of how many people that you've helped out
Wow, he was way down in there. I’m so glad you got his vehicle back out.
"There's a lot of middle of nowhere out here" . Too funny.
Casey, it's amazing how many people have no idea what you're up against but they will still try to tell you how to do things. Crazy.
Good morning Casey your videos are never boring you make it look easy woth what you do and remembering you have to do things in a certain order
I love the paying it forward idea that is very smart and helps other people as well
Years ago my brother who did a lot of off roading said that "4 wheel drive" is just a license to get stuck ... like marriage what you also need is a "good wench".... Great videos and skills!
I spent most of my working life in the forest, Since I retired I really don't miss the work, but I sure do miss the view from my office. Time to go for a drive in the woods again.
Good morning Casey. Job well done. To all the "experts" telling you how you should be doing your job. It is like trying to teach Grandma how to blow eggs when she has been doing it since she was a child. Keep up the good work my friend.
This is the video where I agree with Mr. LaDelle about things totally worth it!
Hey Casey !! Nicely done again !!!! 🙃😉😉 👍👍👍👍👍 Don't they make a slider cable reliner for the winches as looks like you have the metal around them to make 1 ??? 🤔🙄 What's up with the ""INTERNATIONAL"" again as bad injectors or ""DEF"" problem ??? 🤔🙄
Probably bad injectors. That truck doesn’t have DEF
Motivation… Inspiration… Whatever… You know what Casey? When it comes from the heart it is good.
IHCL… if you know you know… Love ya brother.
Nothing you say that can inspire someone else is not dumb. Thank you for all you do to help people. May I suggest that when you let people know they can donate to a charity of their choice you may want to pick one that is true to your heart and have them donate in your name.
Casey, don't sell yourself short. That was a perfect analogy, and you are motivational and inspiring. 😊😊
I am constantly amazed by the places people drive their vehicles. I would not have driven down that slope with anything less than a true off-road vehicle with aired down tires.
Thank you for another great video! How is the engine work coming on the rollback?
After a full day in the shop at the dealership, all they've told me is that I have a reverse light out...
I wish I was making that up.
@@CaseyLaDelle 🤣
@@CaseyLaDelle "also there's some dirt on the round thing"
@@CaseyLaDelle I hope you told them that reverse lights being out do not make rattling noises and loss of power, ha!
That sounds exactly like an International dealership. 🤦🏻♂️
I like the way you literally finesse people out of situations! Nice and easy on the equipment!
a few things i do is put winch cable in the old dolley tire. its easy to store and doesn't catch on every thing when stored. when you have long pulls. also i pull the tire lift out sideways to help stable the tow truck. thanks Casey for theses videos.
If you live closer to me I would volunteer to hold the camera. You do some pretty awesome recoveries and your generosity is top-notch
used to work for a tow/recovery operator, and while they DID 'eat' the occasional bill, if the 'root cause' was driver stupidity - sand + RWD + skinny tires - the tow truck got paid... if you do everything for low (or no) cost, you'll go broke right quick...
