Civic Type R AWE Exhaust and Swift Springs

- I wanted to share this for exhaust options.
This is the AWE Exhaust, it's a direct bolt on with no Active valve.
It fits well and install was straight forward. It weighs around 10 lbs more than stock but is a true 3".
The Swift springs are a pretty aggressive drop. I can't share the ride quality but they do look very even front to back.

LHT modified stock exhaust looks and sounds the best. i could order the tips but im not confident in my shop's ability to copy yours.
I have an AWE-0FG for my Silverado, and the quality was pretty great and the unboxing was much different with foam.

Waiting for the EF videos. I love my Skechers, although I wear a hole through the mesh on my clutch foot from resting it against the side while driving.
The EF is a little bit of a basket case , it’s going to require some hours. I wore the mesh on my Sketches too. lol.
stock mod is the most cost effective all round way to go . sound and uniqueness is my main interest cause i could do one lil mod different to the next guy an mine wont sound like yours , like say hhave a step up in a section of pipe that changes the note at different speeds due the rate of exhaust flow

I always thought the weld quality on AWE systems looked cheap like oem manufacturer exhausts...
I like stock modified exhaust, and I like skechers shoes :)

Wow an aftermarket exhaust thats worse quality AND heavier... Should have went with LHT custom modified stock exhaust.

Never seen a brand new exhaust with rust. Hard pass should’ve gone LHT
John, that exhaust system would've done with V-band clamps...I didn't care for the deceleration sound... Too raspy for my ear.

Sound is deep, which I like. The tips look good, but the fit and finish of the system leaves a lot to be desired. It’s just not good. Also, the added weight just isn’t acceptable.
that math is way off. AWE results based on your numbers is 47.2lbs not 50 3/8lbs
AWE is overhyped and overpriced, tho they sound OK, the quality is worst than cheaper systems. Mig welds and not even polished?? For a systems that $1,200+!
Yeah, I was actually considering this exhaust until I saw this video. It does not look like very good construction. I'll keep looking.
