Wow how cool is this?! Using an acacia tree thorn you gathered on your trip to Africa and using it for slow stitching back at home! I didn’t realize that the thorns were there to protect the young trees from being eaten by giraffes, what a defense! And “giraffic jam” lol!!! I was thinking “Giraffic Park”! (like Jurassic Park!) 😄What a gorgeous skirt you and your Aunt created together - the pattern is so vibrant and happy. Thank you so much for sharing not only your creations but also your adventures both at home and abroad. We can feel like we are along with you for the adventure from the comfort of our homes. i was wondering if you could wrap tape or something around it and then punch the hole. or maybe punch the hole after soaking in water to make it pliable
They’re “self-threading” needles- the “latest” thing on Amazon $5-$9… exactly the same as the thorn, no “eye”, just a slit. Nature is always one (or ten) steps ahead of us
