The videos in this series are not getting a lot of views. Video editing is time consuming! So, I'm not planning on publishing the last three videos in this series so I can move on to other projects, namely the 2024 Panoramic Gathering and a Viking River Cruise (Capitals of Eastern Europe).
Hi, Steve here. Thank you for joining me on the Panoramic Travels channel where we discuss our travels whether they’re by RV, river or ocean cruising or independent travel.
This video covers our sixth major RV trip since we picked up our Panoramic RV in September 2022. It is Part 12 of a 20 part series.
While in Charleston, Janet and I went on three walking tours. Two are covered in this video. The third will be covered in the next video.
The Nathaniel Russell House was built in 1808 for Nathaniel Russell, a wealthy merchant and trader of enslaved people. It is recognized as one of the most important neoclassical houses in the United States. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1960 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
We really appreciated the perspective of the McLeod Plantation tour. It was given from the perspective of the enslaved people, not the plantation owner. The property includes the Georgian style plantation house, built in 1858, along with a carriage house, a dairy building, a gin house, a barn and six remaining clapboard cabins for enslaved people.
I’ll put links to the other videos in this series in the description of this video. I hope you enjoyed it. Please give it a Like if you did and consider subscribing to the channel. Until next time, thanks for watching!
