How To Create Layers & Textures with Chalk Paint. Furniture Makeover.

Painting furniture is fun. Here I want to show you different ways of how to create the layers and textures with chalk paint. I am using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint:
Florence by Annie Sloan
Svenska Blue by Annie Sloan
Old White by Annie Sloan
Arles by Annie Sloan
I have mixed my own dark brown paint by mixing Primer Red + Arles + Napoleonic Blue
I have also used Annie Sloan clear wax, my own mixture of brown wax, and antique gilding wax.

So clever using the window cleaner! I've never seen anyone do that. I love the final look of the cabinet, especially the top. Sprinkling the salt onto the wet paint was a happy surprise. It cancels the need to buy costly salt wash. Loved your video. Subscribed. Thank you!

This is a beautiful piece! Did you let the paint dry before adding each new layer? How much saw dust did you use? Did you sand between layers? Looking forward to trying this. Merci beaucoup!

Thank you for watching! I added about a table-spoon of sawdust for the amount of paint I used, just to make the paint thick enough to get some texture. You can use more or less depending how rough you want the surface to be. I didn't sand until the last layer was dry and i let the paint dry only before applying the clear wax.

thank you so much for watching!!! I used an ordinary cheap chalk paint i got in the local diy shop. I use different colors of it quite often as a base cover but i wouldn't blend with it as the consistency isn't that nice to play with.
