I’m a collector buddy I have all of them but I believe the Rand McNally Is a good way to go if you keep it all day, but if you are likes me that I just wear them when I need it on a call Blue parrot 650 is a great option with the same features because it offers the double ears head phone just like McNally either way both the Clear Drive 220 or the Blue parrot 650 cost the same. So there’s nothing to worry about them both are great options. But if you are likes me that use a Cowboy hat then the best option is the Blue parrot CX 400 because it goes behind your head instead of the top so you can wear the headsets without the problem of removing your hat.
650??? Your pair actually works? I've seen no one actually say the 650 is good. Even myself, I had them for one day then sent them back. I had about 15 disconnects in that one day. The worst part is you knew the disconnect was coming cause there was always a hissing in the background when you used them (and no it wasn't noise cancel) it would stop for a fraction of a second then come back for a fraction of a second then it would be dead air and no beeps no nothing and your call was disconnected.
If you're wearing both the big earphones when you're driving, that's stupid. I hope not. Me personally, I can't stand the ones that go behind your ear. I've got a Bluetooth I wear when I'm not working and I can't stand it most of the time. The 650 I'll pick up when there's a color option other than black.
Blue parrot calls new model 650 over the ear headphones but 650 actually has smaller ear cushions than 550 model, I tried 650 and it’s not even close to cover my ear and ear cushion has weird V shape, I saw it first in pilot behind cashier and from 10 foot distance I could say it has very small ear cushions and shouldn’t be called over the ear, also active noise canceling is pointless if ear cushions don’t cover whole ear, ANC needs small air pressure which is impossible to build if there are gaps between ear and ear cushions, I was waiting for new 650 but in the end I’m little bit disappointed with 650
I just picked up one of the new Garmin headsets. I'll do a video on all 3 if my blue parrot doesn't sell next weekend after I get some use out of the Garmin. But yeah I'm done with the Blue Parrot headsets I think.
I've had it since it came out and I legit rather some cheap 20$ Amazon basics Bluetooth headphones. It is that bad. It's uncomfortable I can hear sht. It's slow to answer calls, turn on, turn off, pair, i mean it's like they said. Let's build the worst headset out there and and see how far we can get..
Yeah. I got rid of mine a while back. I primarily use the Rand Mcnally headset now. I've got the Garmin headset as a backup. I'll be doing a video by this next weekend on the Garmin.
I can try to do one today. I actually stopped working as a truck driver but I have the headset that I'm using at home. I'll try and do it tonight. I've been saying that forever but I will. It won't be a comparison but just a basic overview.
Does the rand mcnally have high volume. My bp 450 sounded so low volume i cant even laiten to music . But my mcnally 100 sounded way better than the b450 . I am wondering if the 220 has good volume and bass to listen to music

Hahaha. I haven't done that but I did at one point a couple years ago throw my Qualcomm out the passenger side window when I was at the truck stop and left it hanging there for a while.
@@jbstuff I was thinking about getting the blue colored exclusive from pilot. I tried the blue parrot in ear one but it was way to quiet and it was a battle to return

One thing I failed to mention is that the BP has voice controls.
The rand mcnally can't do voice answering
I know.
Only thing l've noticed with my Blue Parrot being tighter, it gives me a headache after a while. Thanks for reviewing.
I think mine did that at first as well but then it broke in. Next couple or days I'm going to do a review on the Rand McNally vs the Garmin headsets.
I agree with you I couldn’t do it with my blue parrot so I just bought some poly their more comfortable
Thanks for reviewing
Yes I bought an over the ear conversion for the 550 off Etsy. Works nice! Not as comfy as the Rands but still way more comfy
Nice! I'll have to look that up.
@@jbstuff yeah they are $39 and not a perfect fit, but yet works great
So glad for the transcript to scan forward and see no review of controls for audiobooks.
I want to be able ti rewind and fast forward WITHIN a file.
Wrong headsets for that. Music is a secondary option on these.
Thank you

The rand mcnally battery took a shit on me before a year.
That sucks! I knew someone that I think bought a refurbished one and had that problem.
Where did you get the colors for the blue parrot?? I saw I could order it from Amazon with skins but where can you get?
Loves, Pilot or Flying J truck stops. I see them in stock most of the time. Might have to look around for it though. I think TA carries them as well.
I think it comes in blue now too.

Also the rands can’t be charged while being used
I never thought to try to use any of them while charging them.
After 2 years the Rands faux leather will Peel and look horrible.. I wish I could show you what mines look like.. I’ll pass on the rands
I dunno about that with all of them. I've been using the one I've got now daily even though I quit truck driving for now. It holds up really well.
