As a exmilitary, 20yr truck driver, i have great radio etiquette and i believe in this process, only because when i use the radio its for needed information that i must understand clearly. So i transmit in the same way.
I have ran into so many people transmitting b.s like one guy in south philly area, he would continously with a high power radio say one watt over and over again. No one could use channel 19 in that area. For several years i would travel that area and hes still doing it.
Each big city i would get close to , the b.s would start. From playing music non dtop to tv shows.
With the 1000s of fcc violations i have witnessed, when i would come back 3mo to 2yrs later, still the same . So i understand why the fcc doesn't do much, how could they.

I served a decade as an ARRL Official Observer and each month the ARRL would send out a update of actions and activities being done by OO's all across the country. Well, one month they had a copy of a complaint from a amateur radio club in China Grove, (Rowan County) NC that operated a UHF repeater on 443.250 another ham was jamming. I gathered the guy got kicked off the repeater and so he had mounted a small UHF yagi antenna on the corner of a steel box off a box type truck he used for a storage building and he had the antenna mounted on it and pointed directly at the China Grove 70 centimeter band repeater and transmitted a very low wattage signal on the repeater's input frequency of 448.250 effectively jamming the repeater. What really surprised me was this same ham had received a FCC Warning Letter for doing the same thing 18 years prior and the FCC had never taken any action other than mailing him a Warning Letter 18 years earlier. When the ARRL done away with the Official Observer program and replaced it with the Volunteer Monitor program that was the end of Official Observers and as far as I know he still continues to jam the China Grove 70 cm (440-450 Mhz) repeater to this day so he has been jamming this repeater for over 20 years now without any further action ever taken by the FCC so the folks in China Grove have to live with the ongoing interference to their UHF repeater. I personally know the ham doing this and never thought in a million years he would ever be the type of person to do anything like this yet the last I heard it still continues to this day!

Since 1970 the 70s Cb radio has been no different than what it is today. If the FCC doesn't like HF propagations on skip talkin a half of watt it can easily be done on a barefoot radio even with radios pushin 100 to 400 w barefoot and they do exist take the anytone at-6666 for example what does 150 watts out the box you don't even see a heat sink on the radio but they got five transistors inside. I talked to barefoot at 5 Watts all day with good conditions. The FCC is crying about mother nature than they should just push us UHF like Australia. The biggest question is why are we in between 10 m and 12 m 11 m is HF too. We're in the middle of ham radio does that make any sense. That's how big the radio wave is 11 meterz long. And people whine and cry wine and cry for getting into their TV stations. They should have pushed us on UHF. You know the legal limit for HF on 10m is 1,500 watts.
What's going to happen when you get into the TV station when you're legally running what you're allowed to run. You can cause interference at 1500 watts of why are they letting Ham radios at 50 megahertz all the way down to 14 MHz operate 1500 w.
And then they penalize someone that did it at 11M
You think 11 is no different than 12m or 10m?
