Kindly explain how to set a "STOP LOSS" order using Stop Limit order type available in CSE. Example: buy a share at 100. need to set up stop loss at 95 also want to sell is price does up to 110. can all this set up in one order. also is it possible to put trailing Stop Loss
I’m new to this stock market. But I learned so much from your videos and I am really grateful for shearing your knowledge. Can you make a video about the SET ALERT FUNCTION in Atrad & how it works.
Stop Loos means Ex : Buy when 100 if it going down 95 automatically sells , we can get out with 5% lost. Another question Can we set buy price stop lost price and Take profit price? (Ex . Buy 100 , stop lost 95 , take profit 105 ) kindly advise
Very informative as always. What is your view on buying bank stocks at current stock prices. Is it advisable to wait some more time and collect later. Will they go lower with bad cash flow issues next quarter?
Banks still has more room to increase, so no harm in buying. Recent price declines of some shares were due to XD dates. Example Sampath, HNB, etc. However cash flow issues are more or less managed by central bank support and interventions, but I do not wish to say those measures totally sorted out the impact, but alleviated to a satisfactory level. (I did a video on this cbsl press release also). So looking at that positive signals it should climb up few more steps. But we need to understand the fact that current market is highly volatile and should be ready to react if signals indicate opposite direction. So buy with small quantities cautiously.
As per my understanding , If you put a stop order , order will be triggered at a given price point and then it will behave like a market order(after getting triggered), that means without considering the price, stop order will be get executed after reaching the specified price. For an example Let's consider placing a sell stop order 1000 (@ 80 rupees given stop price), when the market price reaches the 80 rupees level the stop order will be triggered, that means it can be executed with a buy order 500@80 and remaining qty will be traded at a lower price point since after triggering the stop order behaves as a market order. Please correct me if I'm wrong @Investor think According to my perspective it's better to put a stop limit order rather than a stop order if you are not familiar with the order types much.
When the price hits your set stop price it automatically becomes the limit order, thats all, trigger means then only it gets started to activate to go after your limit order
Direct FN does not allow to assigne a stop price above the current market price. Is this the way?? Ex - tried to put a stop loss to comb. Stop price assigned 80 (because of the system insisted to) and sell price asked for Rs. 112. Is this ok? the way i used the order type?

Does the stop limit function work on a downtrend? let's say the current trading price is at Rs.100/= and if the price falls below 95 I want to execute a sell order to be triggered (in the intention of minimizing the loss)

Decline to 105 is totally understood with XD. So you will get 11.75 pershare dividend for sampath. This is a good dividend stock and as Mr Dhamika Perera is in to this entity, we have extra confidence in addition to the bank fundamentals. Even if it drops in the worst case (if so it should be a crash like we had where all the stocks got affected) then you will yearly get dividends. Market price is just a number, I explained this psychological situation in my videos, It affects only if you need to totally get the capital out. If not Sampath dividend is a decent amount
