I generally agree with your sentiment about side tunnels in salvage missions, but salvage missions seem like a bad example because at the end of each there’s a minute of a half spent waiting around where you can check those tunnels without wasting time

Your outro hits different. I find it downright depressing that DRG is probably the only amazing indie game with regular content updates, but where the new content is just so underwhelming. GSG needs to do something to shake things up a bit and keep it fresh. I agree that rockpox is just a nuisance more than anything. What I would really like to see is more rival content that potentially adds a new and more challenging mission type that unpacks some of the "lore" behind them, like boarding a rival vessel or something to recover data on it. Same thing with the lithophage virus; maybe there could be a new mission type where an entire biome has been taken over and you have to do an escort mission to get Doretta to crack open a gigantic lithophage meteor that has infected an entire cave system.
Yet I doubt new stuff like this would actually ever happen, as much as we'd love to see it. The same core gameplay loop over and over again can only be done enough times before burnout happens. Either way, even if you drift away from DRG content, I totally understand why, and I would be happy to follow your channel into another game if you decide something else out there would be fun to make content for. Rock and Stone, brother.

Not sure if this is something you'd be interested in, but I think it would be beneficial for lots of viewers if you were to commentate on other players' gameplay. Ideally pointing out what they did right, what they did wrong, why was that play wrong and how they could have done it better. Imho that's a really effective way to teach others something since they'd be able to relate to the mistakes from the gameplay and would be able to see why something wasn't an optimal decision, which in contrast makes it easier to see the correct way to do it. Seeing high level gameplay "all the time" does sort of shift my vision, since everything you do in your videos looks really easy tbh, because you're so good at this game obviously. And whenever I try the stuff myself I realise it's really difficult to pull off. So in contrast to this, seeing other players' not-pro level gameplay with commentary on top would be really cool to learn from imho

Oh yeah another thing I forgot to mention:
• I don't think you've finished your "Mission Guide" videos? I can only find a few of them, not 1 for each mission type. I think those would be really cool to see
• Perhaps guides for specific enemies where you talks about their specs that may not be obvious to most players, and/or how to deal with certain enemies
• Similarly to my last comment, a commentary on your own missions would also be useful the same way. If you were to explain why did you certain plays, what did you notice and consider that a viewer might have missed in the footage, what are the next things you were planning to do in the short term during each section of missions etc.

Great to see you have your computer back axis. Love watching the speedplay and commentary videos but I totally understand what you mean about not getting any longterm new content. Would love to see a movement guide for people trying to get into speed play or just optimize their kiting. I didn't even know it was possible to B-hop in DRG until I noticed you doing it in this video for example.
I would also encourage you to branch out to other stuff if you're really starting to feel burnt out. Maybe trying some some new games with viewers or other content creators to mentally reset would help too.

I play DRG on playstation and you videos helped me a lot, I got into speedplay like yourself pretty early and I was hooked, so much so that I'm level 2390 on playstion lol, I only know one other player who's above me on PSN, luckily I found many likeminded players to play with me, and we push bounderies with times, as you said those 10-15 seconds really matters a lot haha, I really enjoy your videos a lot, thanks for your work.

If you're looking for another game that might scratch that DRG itch with a similar capacity for speedplay, I actually came to DRG from Helldivers, and I feel like you'd probably enjoy it. And I think it'd be a good option for making videos. Theres also a sequel coming.

So it's probably worth it to crack open all of them, if you are on heart hunt.

@@ModestToast3073 Good news and bad news. Good news is it was reuploaded by another guy and it’s called “Void power animations for EPC” (has a Gandalf thumbnail). Bad news is for some reason it’s categorized as sandbox and only works on a sandbox save in sandbox servers. Not sure why since the original upload was totally visual/cosmetic and could be used anywhere 🤷

The problem with overplaying a game is that you lose the passion and something to work towards. Same with cheating. If you have everything you're wasting your time and gets inflationary. Like Minecraft creative mode is never as fun as hardcore survival. But if this is fun for you, fine, but you only have one real life which you should spent more wisely instead of doing the EXACT same thing for months. Balance is king.

jokes aside i feel you about drg, and the slow seasonal content isn't helping either, honestly the main thing keeping me playing is the fact i keep getting friends into the game and seeing them improve with time and at least comfortably play haz5 with (not that i'm that good either, but i like to believe i'm better than average) your videos have been a blessing for that especially stuff like this one where you commentate what's going on in your mind as you're playing, something i can redirect them to to learn some stuff. at least the ones that wanna get better and not be carried all the time like one i just got into the game 9 days ago and is already at 53h about to hit his 3rd class promotion
