It's really good to see someone helping out another youtuber instead of someone moaning and complaining about another youtuber who is trying to sort his life out especially after they themselves where on the receiving end of nastiness not to long ago you'd think they would know better. Keep up the great work at DKHQ 👍
Always happy to help out if I can, I'm really grateful for all the help and support I've received over the years.
Happy to be part of a great community of koi lovers 😊
Nice to see the koi community pulling together. As in life, everyone just tries to nock each other down . Or rub one another up. Nice one mates as I know that there'd have been the three of you . But Andy whichever do you think removes best moving or static. Or if I have both which way ar, und do you think to have them .cheers mate job's a goodun 👍
Hi mate, they each produce different forms of bacteria. The moving bed produces aerobic bacteria which absorbes ammonia, which turns it into nitrates. the static bed produces anorobic bacteria, which transforms those nitrates into nitrogen gas, which is released into the atmosphere. If I had to choose, I would go moving bed
@@DerbyKoi thanks the job's a goodun 👍
Nice to see a fellow hobbyist help each other, I see so much arguments and back bitting in the hobby, especially from those who should know better. Hope I get the chance to meet and personally say thanks for the help I've received.
Trevor
Hi Trevor, hope your well mate, I'm going to a few shows this year so hopefully get to meet and chat. Stay safe mate 👍🏻
Community spirit at it's best, you've helped me many times which I'm grateful for. I suspect Graham will get revenge for you laughing 😂. Keep up the good work mate

Koi Community working together love it, well done Team Derby Koi. Oh Andy I'm guessing Graham will be getting the last laugh after you taking the P out of him over his near miss 😂🙏

Great job andy, one of your early videos showing how to scrape really helped me. I wished you lived closer, but overseas is a bit too far I suppose lol. Hope your partner is ok, was funny though lol

What an impressive pond and so large. I thought mine was large at 19,000 litres, boy was I wrong. The filtration system is also something else especially that massive diy shower. Love the Japanese themed art work too. A very talented family. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I've never seen a shower that big before, almost the size of my filterhouse lol. Great setup and brilliant company 😊
Nice one Andy ⛩🐟⛩

Thanks mate 👍🏻
7:10 I go around to different places to point this out, but I always wish the day would come when this practice would no longer be the norm. Are microscopes essential for KOI keeping? Then why don't any of us have one? No one talks about these different situations because no one knows or cares, but our main consensus is that there are probably other things we should be studying to do better.
I think most hobbiest here in the UK own a microscope, it's interesting to watch how we all look after our koi in different parts of the world. The more we share, the more we learn.
