I always smile when I see the kangaroo and map stamps. I really like them. 🙂Interesting postage due stamps. I am trying to bend my head around the precancels on the postage due stamps - why would that be necessary and what did it accomplish? As far as I know precancels are used to alleviate the work of cancelling large amounts of stamps by doing it beforehand - or am I entirely wrong? Jeff, thanks for the nice and interesting video!!!! I enjoy Patrick telling you to finish talking to yourself. 🙂
@@GreatStampAdventure hi Charnie - thanks for watching !! As you know Precancels are postage stamps that have been canceled before being used on letters or packages. Typically they are stamps cancelled with two lines, and the city and state where they were mailed - Precanceled stamps are typically used by mass mailers, who can save the postal system time and effort by prearranging to use the precancels, and delivering the stamped mail ready for sorting. The postal administration will typically offer an incentive in the form of a reduced price for precanceled stamps in volume. :) Yes Patrick is very bossy at times :) 😀🦜
@@jeffsstamps Thanks, Jeff, an excellent explanation of the precancelled stamps! I just found it strange that it was of use to precancel the postage due stamps. There couldn't have been SO many of them?
@@NewtonMorrison Hi Newton - I would love to see the videos - however I am not sure I could value the stamps - Do you have a stamp catalogue to give you an approximate worth?
Hi Jeff! So cool 😎! I just found a 1 shilling Australian kangaroo in a kilo ware that I had purchased a while back. My jaw dropped! Great video man!
