    The 39 is pure excellence on the wrist. The 41 is lovely, but not as good
    I owned a silver dial E serial 15202, perhaps the best watch from a fit and wrist feel perspective I’ve ever worn. Traded her back in 2017.
    39mm in Tantalum would be a dream

    Own 39 and 41. That said given i do have 6.5inch wrist 39 is perfect fit for me. Another great content!

      i think the old 36mm 14790 would look the best on you. don't knock it until you try it. 36mm ROs wear larger because they are thinner and have nearly the same proportions as the jumbo. the 37 and 41mm ROs are too thick.

  • @josh.472
    @josh.472 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    The 39 will always be king for the purists, but I'm glad that Adrian brought up the 41 extra thin tourbillons at the end. They truly knocked the proportions out of the park with that watch. I believe one of the biggest factors in its success is that they slimmed down the bracelet, just as they recently did with the 15510 line, making the 41mm case much more wearable.

    • @meetseth3
      @meetseth3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed. 15510 is most likely the best 41mm RO ever made.

    I really have to agree with Jeff the commenter below, the 39 is perfect, the size and aesthetic is the best choice, but the 41 isn't bad, I guess it's just a matter of preference.
    You really have a great selection of AP Royal Oaks! Beautiful 😊

      I went to AP to try on the 41’s with anticipation of ordering one and the watch is HUGE on the wrist. I have pretty normal size wrists and I’m a muscular guy and I would never be able to wear one

    So much discussion on many channels about what size a watch should be.
    Apparently the common recommendation is…
    “Men should wear a watch which fits their wrist size best and fits comfortably. It looks better that way.”
    And…
    “Women should wear big watches that don’t fit well and are uncomfortable. It looks better that way.”
    Interesting.
    Anyway, I think people should just wear whatever they like.

    My 2c. I have a big wrist, 8-inch. This is the most important consideration, BTW.
    My grail is the 15500 blue dial, for the following reasons:
    (1) Size is perfect for me - maybe not for you.
    (2) Blue is unbelievably beautiful. There is no discussion here, and the market backs me up.
    (3) The simplicity of the dial beats the busy chrono dial. And I love the chrono version.
    (4) Again, the steel and blue simplicity outshines all the crazy, busy, blingy, goldy, ceramic, gem-set - and I don't care what they cost.
    If I had a smaller wrist, my grail would be the 39mm, titanium & platinum 15200IP, with the smoked blue dial. That is the most beautiful watch in existence to my humble eyes.

    I was aways a rolex fan, but since watching your videos and learning more about AP, my friend who is sponsored by AP always says go and try. Well thank you I've ordered and put on a wish list in Dubai for a Royal Oak 41 white dial. 🎉.

  • @timeisahumanconstruct9251

    Based off a stroll through Instagram and TH-cam I estimate that only 3 out of 10 people who wear a 41mm RO do so with an appropriate fit. The other 7 out of 10 people have the lugs extending beyond their wrists with it sloshing around. Not a good look IMO. Most wearers need to size down or two!

    I do enjoy your content like this when it’s just a conversation about the watches. Thank you. But how do I put this politely - it’s time to talk about wardrobes, and you’re next guest should be a stylist. The logos on the shirt tonight should only be worn for the few hours you are actually attending a F1 race. And no more Balenciaga.

      It’s all about how it feels on the wrist. I’ve worn both, owned a silver dial E serial 15202. 39mm is perfection on the wrist.
      It has nothing to do with how others perceive it

    Here is the real truth in case you didn't know. Perhaps 10% of all authentic luxury watches are 100% 1:1 clones. So how do these super cloners build these watches. They do XRF X-ray scans on the alloys and compounds of every piece of the watch (including screws and link pins). These highly sophisticated cloners will do a reflective index test on the sapphire crystal and compound enamel analysis on any part of the dial or bezel. Then skilled watchmakers will take apart every single piece of the watch to perform a 3D scan of each and every piece of the watch. Also, they will use a 50x loup to see what type of machining process was used. They will produce a one-to-one copy of every single piece of the watch, using the same alloys and compounds as the original. Once more, they will even weigh each and every single piece to ensure each and every single piece weighs exactly the same as the original. After doing a comparative 3D scan of the original part and the one they produced, if there is even a 0.005 deviation they will scrap the part and they start over again. This allows them to create any stainless steel version of Rolex for less than $1,000 and any version of Richard Mille for less than $2,500 in Hong Kong and they do not sell these watches to the markets, nor will you find them in a replica boutique. They send their partners with suitcases full of watches to Dubai, London, and NYC. These super-cloners factories have invested more than 5million dollars, per factory, in order to produce these types of watches. They have metallurgist, highly skilled watchmakers, advanced 3D scanning technology, compound analyzers, ect. They're also very careful not to flood the market. They're making hundreds of millions of dollars every year from their 5 million dollar clone factories. What can you do to combat this type of brand infiltration, stop buying naked watches - regardless of their collectability or their rarity.
