thank you! So After Fixing broken cables between the trunk and the trunklid i changed the lock and the button. i still can't open the trunk - only via the remote controll. Doesn anybody have an idea what could be broken?

My boots stuck closed same model estate how did u get the boot open to replace the lock mech ?
There should be a mechanism in the boot you would have to access via the rear seat to unlock it mate
