The time for the French seems to have come. An insane generation of young players, Ntamack reminds me the flamboyance and elan of Blanco or Sella. And Dupont is a breed of player that I had never seen in my life.
Ntamack is in a league of his own, best flyhalf of OUR times. He may still live to prove himself the best flyhalf of ALL times. Time will tell.

I'm and all blacks supporter, enjoyed this game. I even enjoyed France smashing the alblacks, they played some high tempo high intensity rugby that day. They also brought some intensity back to the all blacks game, we almost pulled it back but France on another level

I think the most impressive aspect of this match was that the All Blacks never once took the lead in this game. In the end the pressure just cracked them open. An awesome performance by the French rugby team.

All that needs to be said. In my 30 years of watching test rugby, I think it’s up there with the 2007 1/4 final win and the 2009 Irish grand slam win.
French rugby at its glorious best. Ntamack’s charge out of his own end was inspirational. Penaud’s interception try was pivotal as well as there was a overlap for the All Blacks.

And yes i've seen ALL the Christian Cullen runs and ALL the Lomu runs and all Habana runs, they were running in the last 22 to ATTACK,(comfortable space) Ntamack was running from his deadline, to DEFEND (very uncomfortable space) His defensive run ended up winning the game. Big difference.

Ntamack's behind the line run and Woki's "fuck it, i don't need wingers and centers today" made my day. I'll support the Bokke all my life. Regardless of the stat, it shows how good New Zealand is in this sport for them to be unbeaten for this long lmao.

To be fair to Woki, Danty didn't manage to keep pace with his acceleration (second row acceleration!) and fell off his shoulder a bit, so the pass wasn't clearly there...
what i find incredible, is the fact Dupont is there at the beginning against Barrett, then he is there when Ntamack gets the ball, and he is there again when Jaminet gives the ball ahaha. This guy....

Really enjoyed the commentary that was attentive to the skill and style of the French. When they toured Australia earlier in the year, the Australian commentators were dreadfully ignorant of the French, providing no insight whatsoever into the tourists, despite them being the next world cup hosts. Credit to Amazon for giving us extended highlights and them actually being extended highlights. We want to see every try, every conversation, every penalty score and the penalty which lead to it. Plus all the cards and any of the big impact moments.
To quote Pele to some degree:- What a beautiful game. (When played properly). Thank you gentlemen. So much better than repetitive penalties, which are just tedious.
Congrats to France, but it's a long way to win a World Cup, no doubts that it must be encouraging to beat the All Blacks like this, but the road ahead will be rocky and setbacks will be the learning curve in the next couple of years. Monsieur Dupont will have to learn 'the rules of engagement' his mistake from holding the ball at the ruck cost France a try, lucky that an intercept even up the score, apart from that it was a 'c'est manifique' performance that makes us love the great Rugby game even more. Je pense que Dupont connaît le règlement... mais il a eu un moment d'hésitation, et face aux Blacks cela ne pardonne pas. Et vous avez raison, la France nous a montré qu'elle avait le niveau pour être champion du monde, mais elle en est loin et avant cela il faudrait déjà qu'elle gagne le 6 nations. Mais aujourd'hui, l'effet psychologique de cette victoire sur le mental des joueurs n'est pas négligeable.

It seems to me that the tempo towards their goal, winning the World Cup, is going extremely well. A very young team, good coaching on different levels, a plethora of choices for different 'conditions' and a fantastic home support. A crucial couple years to come where there will be some soul-searching as well... en attendant 'allez les bleus' et Vive la France.

@@graffenwalker542 Yes, as soon as the ball is in his hand anyone can now challenge him, and this is what happened, losing the ball allowed the All Blacks to score a try... He was not penalized but rather of getting the benefit of a penalty against them, if they rush across the line of the ruck, once the ball is in his hands the opponents can now tackle him and the rest is history.
At the 60 minute mark, France went lambo mode, we went Ian Foster nissan bluebird mode.
James Haskell once said that France can beat anyone in the world & he's right. They have an abundance of talent but they luck consistency & structure. They have a big powerful pack, arguably the best scrum-half in the world currently & deadly wingers. 2023 is their best chance of winning the RWC but if they peak too soon I don't know...

As a proud New Zealander I'm always happy to see Aaron Smith and sundry other All Blacks throw their toys out the cot bawling because they got beaten by a better, more intelligent team. Savea flopping on the French players to stop a possible try, then complaining about the Yellow Card sums up the state of their minds for me. Sack their coach.

As an Englishman, I should envy the high level of the French team, but I think it's great that a European can face RSA and NZ again.

I've been watching the ABs for around 45yrs now (l'm a Aussie) and we play them more than any other country does, but oddly enough they seemed far less superior/intimidating in white jumpers?? France were devastating great win...going to be a great W.C.!!!!
I'd be worried at how far the ABs have come since then. They are the team on the improve even though they have had some big losses in recent times. That win over South Africa and then the demolition of Argentina has them right back on track. If they can now get two good wins against Australia they will silence alot of the critics I am sure. You dont want to be playing your best rugby a year out from the WC.....you want to peak at the WC. This was a great game from France and a fairly average game from the ABs.
I agree NZ are on a 7 match winning streak but Cane and Fozzie worry me
