I just played it, it's amazing and challenging at times if you play on a harder difficulty. The graphics are astounding and not to mention it's only $50, it's a definite buy for anyone on PS5/4. Edit: the soundtrack is also amazing, you can really tell they put a lot of effort into this experience.
This game is purely insane, a true definition of international collab. The creators/devs from US, the animation team from Vietnam, and the soundtrack ansemble from Indonesia (Bali, to be precise). Can't wait to grab this game!

If anyone wonders why the soundtracks are beautiful, they were played by Gamelan Cudamani music group of Bali, one of the best Gamelan groups in the world. The instruments they used are Gamelan sets and Angklungs (both are native Indonesian instruments).
Just finished it. Wasn't going to buy because of negative reviewers from other sites. I'll never listen to anyone again online, because out of the last 10 games I played, this destroyed them all.
This is the mosted awaited game for me this year. More than any AAA. I am in love since ps5 showcase last year. It's been a really long time since I don't feel anxiety about a game this way.
I just mentioned this because I think they were interviewed and asked if they were going to make a sequel. Unfortunately I think they want to make a whole new Ip. A shame really they have so much they can build upon with this world and lore they created.
I already bought the digital version , and if they come out with a physical I will gladly buy it again. Looks like so much love and passion went into this!!

Wrong, this game will not sell well. Triple A developers fuel gaming indie devs do not. This game won’t be longer than 8 hrs and at 39.99 you’ll be paying that price multiple times to get the hrs you’d find in one triple A title. I want triple A content 40 to 60 hrs long & nothing less. Don’t let the visuals fool you, the game play, the combat doesn’t look great. This is going to be another biomutant.

Game has such a retro sound and design. Horizon Zero Dawn (Slo Mo Bow Mechanics), Majoras Mask (Mask Gameplay), Pikmin (Rots that follow you around and get the courage to fight with you), Super Mario Sunshine (cleaning up an area/getting rid of the darkness) and even Ape Escape and Tomba! from PS1 (music and overall charm of characters)

I see this with every release people are excited for. "Going to be incredible. Best game ever. One of the best games this year." And whatever other hyperbole you guys love using. I just know with so many releases with you guys assuming, that no matter how much a game didn't meet your expectations, or even how much it disappointed you, you guys go in before release SO CONVINCED that a game will be incredible, that you'll do mental gymnastics to convince yourself that it is no matter how it may turn out. I've seen it countless times and it never fails to be weird to me.

If it was a love letter to anything, I'd personally say it's a love letter to Pixar or Disney animation. Proof that we've reached a point where such fantastic animation and lighting is now almost indistinguishable from being a video game, where in the past we could only dream of having such similar quality in graphical presentation. Like back with old JRPGs and we'd get fancy CGI cutscenes and the graphics would look "significantly" better than the actual in-engine graphics. We've reached a point where those "significantly" better graphics are just the standard graphics that we have access to now for regular gameplay. There are parts of this trailer I could probably show to most people out on the street and they'd likely think it's a new Disney or Pixar movie, not a video game, and I think that's awesome.
