    I think this fish is the reason we have all those sea serpent tales. I can only imagine what early explorers most have thought when they saw this fish. They were Probably thinking the fish was a baby sea serpent. Thank you for a great video

    Giant beltfish is also known as giant swordfish; here in the Philippines, they are called by the natives as "espada"...

    We eat these in Korea as well, they're soooooo yummy just salted and fried!!! It's one of my favorite fish! And it's easy to eat as well!

    This fish in Greece we call it swordfish or SPATHA , because of its shape and its coloration, looks like sword.

    It's called Hairtail in Australia. Every few years they come to Newcastle Harbour in their millions. They so voracious that they attacking bare hooks, its impossible to get bait intended for bottom fish through them. Horrible useles tasteless kritters, but asians love them.

      , i've seen only the larger cousins with the sail fin and the sword nose , this one doesn't even have a tail fin , more Eil shaped , i'll look it up! thanks!!

    What's this? A video of a Japanese cook preparing a fish that doesn't have a tone of dislikes and doesn't have two dozen people in the comment section screaming "OMG! Why would you do that to that poor fish?!" Huh. I didn't think I'd ever find one of these.

    I don't get the bones and sauce , l guess that's why I shy away from so many Asian. Dishes , I do like othentic steamed fish with ginger, I was couirius About belt fish. From the show. " bong appiteete"

      I loved to eat belt fish, my fav food and... the bones? Actually not that many, i think . And it's pretty delicious when you grilled it. Plus eat it use ur hand is the best👌

    Can we have the sauce on the side of the fish, not on top of the fish. Why make it soggy after crispy, I know it makes the sauce stick to the fish better, but I would like it more crispy.

      Em Portugal chamamos a este peixe Peixe Espada. Peixe Espada branco, como este é melhor frito, o Peixe Espada preto, que é mais gordo é melhor grelhado.

      NO, Barracudas have distinct fin and tail. Beltfish is also called cutlassfish or hairtail.
