I have been to Takayama in 2014 for the autumn festival. At the lunchroom of the Takayama Art museum I enjoyed delicious Hida beef!
Good review Sandra. Will definitely pay a visit there in couple of weeks time. BTW don't mind me asking if parking will gonna be a problem in Takayama/ Shiragawago?
Thank you @sochamic RT 😊🙏。In terms of parking, you can park for free on the street in Takayama city (though the space is quite tight), otherwise there’s definitely a pay parking lot. There’s a huge car park area (with a fee) at the Shirakawago entrance.

@@SandraSayonira today 23rd Dec @ 13.05 pm I am here sitting in Kyoya eating my Hida beef. Thank you Sandra for recommending. The food is really good here with proper environment to put some fond memories on our 1 day trip at Takayama.

That beef looks so tender. So delicious. So very far from where I live. 😭 It also looks very expensive.
The beef was definitely the most tender beef I've ever tasted (very similar like Kobe Beef)... Yes, Takayama is a bit far from everywhere... however, price wise it's actually not that expensive.
The whole meal on our table totaling to 7,200 Yen (equivalent to AUD$82) which is not considered expensive at all in Australian standard.
I will go to takayama next month, can u recommend the best 3 restaurant to eat in takayama according to your experience?

It’s recommended that you make a reservation for dinners and weekends. We came on a weekday lunch so there weren’t anyone apart from 2 tables.

Hi Maia... depends where you’re coming from. We took a train from Nagoya and hired a car. But there should be buses that goes to Takayama.
