All those rumours about her, especially when the movie Dreamgirls came out. Back in da day, if you were a woman who was strong, determined and single-minded you were labelled a bitch! In showbiz you have to be a little bit selfish or it will eat you up. Look at her today, still doing her thing! And I love you Deniece!

Absolutely ... It's amazing to me how far Diana Ross was able to open the door for Whitney, Mariah and yes, Beyonce... Let alone what Diana did for Michael. Diana Ross is truly truly a pioneering icon.

Diana Ross is truly a awesome woman. We all have our moments but that is what they are...moments. That's called being human. It doesn't define a person. I never believed in the negative stuff I hear others say about her as being the person she truly is. Having met her twice and seen her in concert too many times to count, she always appeared to be kind, friendly and nice. People who really know her always have great things to say about her. I love this great story Deniece Williams shared and I love her channel.

Diana Ross, came through Motown which was run by Berry Gordon to be highly competitive with several artists recoding the same songs. During that time Diana learned to stand her ground and to rehearse and rehearse. Martha Reeves said of Diana "she's the hardest working woman in show business. "
    Success creates jealousy.

Great story from Miss Williams. I have heard stories about Diana Ross and I take them all with a pinch of salt. She strives for perfection and quality, if you don't bring you're A Game, she will let you know. It's double standards, because when a man wants perfection, he's a go getter and he's admired, when it's a woman, she a bitch, not fair at all 💖

Ms. Williams, you were and still are one of my favorite female vocalists. I still have several of your original LPs. I listen to your music often. Growing up as a teenager you and Diana Ross were often the music I listened to. After listening to this wonderful testimony of your experience with Diana Ross, I will listen to your music today, especially Free, To Much To Little To Late, Black Butterfly and so many others. Much love and continued succes to you. I hope to see you when you next perform in Chicago. - Jesse Charbonier -

one of the points of this lovely story is that Deniece Williams can attest because she was there! a lot of the negativity on people comes from those who have heard 2nd - 3rd hand or recycle and embelish the myths... I am sure that , like Diana Ross, Deniece Williams has faced battles in her career because of many factors... More power to the ladies who entertain us so superbly.

Ms.Williams, your music always took me to that special place in time! When I thought I found love. The Era that would define a Generation! As all other Artists of that time! Your music taught me about what a woman faces! And the life that oftentimes brought to all our lives! That uncertainty! Spiritual based and just good Commonsense! As a young man back then. You let me know! Love for those involved. Flows both ways! Your music for me was like a warm embrace! I'm not here to take anything. I just want to add to any goodness that's there! Blind fold me. I know your music anywhere! That's my Girl!! You have your own distinct sound and vocal range! Blows my mind the range you have! Lordy! I'm glad you decided to put down your instrument of choice. To share the Angelic sounds of a Angel. Who has enrich my taste in music! Ms. Nicey! you never disappoint. You were created not only for God's pleasure! But to share what he gave you! We are Eternally grateful.

You see how false narratives get started, I'm sure that episode was relayed very differently by the person who climbed over Deniece to get to Diana. I'm sure Ms Ross was labeled a bitch for reprimanding a fan wanting to meet his idol. When in fact she did the absolute right thing. Great story

Yeah , Diana does not take mess from anyone being disrespectful in her presence I've seen Diana more times in live concert than I can count. And there have been a few times where I have witnessed Diana put an unruly fan in his or her place, oh yeah even witnessed Diana stop the concert and told the fan if you don't like it here leave go to the front desk and get your money back but you will not disturb the others here make your choice but do it now , or sit down and act like you've got some sense to a thunderous applause ovation . Now I know somebody's probably said she's a bitch no she wasn't she was just getting an unruly patron thrown out that's all that's it .

@@brianwoods9741 Diana Ross has been an easy target over the years. Has she been rough on some people over the years? I'm sure she has but so have many others. There are still those that hold grudges for the breakup of the Supremes which was over 50yrs ago. What she has shown is that she has been a trailblazer, a consummate professional and a great mother...not bad.

Cool story...but how does she treat people who don't have a recognizable "name", face, etc.? And where's the word of God that you promised to share in the intro for these "diva stories"?
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him. ~Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe.
Fire is the way to test the purity of silver and gold, but the character of a man is tested by giving him a measure of fame.
    - Proverbs 27:21 TPT
JESUS: “But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left.
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
“Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’
“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’
“Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’
“Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’
“And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’
“And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”

May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation-the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ -for this will bring much glory and praise to God.

You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him...This is a great quote you posted but you didn't read. Diana didn't have to stand up for Deniece Williams. That rude person clearly didn't know or care who Deniece Williams was..and there nothing to be gained by Diana Ross.
