Spamalot Monty Python and the Holy Grail Eric Idle John Cleese David Hyde Peirce Tim Curry Always look on the bright side of life Broadway West End Las Vegas musical comedy
Fun fact: Sara Ramirez (The Lady of the Lake) won a Tony for her performance. So the lyric was changed from “I’ve no Grammy, no rewards, no Tony awards” to “I’ve no Grammy, I have one measly Tony award”.
Even under glaringly bright light she still looks fantastic! And those lashes somehow look real! Right on makeup artists and the exuding beauty of Ms. Ramirez!
"And another hundred people just contracted the plague..." You can't have a Broadway show that parodies Broadway that does not include a little hat tilting to Stephen Sondheim.
The whole show and original cast is great because they throw in subtext and small tidbits parodying musicals/pop culture that you wouldn’t get at first glance - especially with the OBC
Micah Cook my favorite subtle reference is when they play the melody from Singing in the Rain during the part of Always Look on the Bright Side of Life when they’re... signing in the rain. lol
So thankful I found these videos uploaded. This is hands down my favorite musical. I was so thankful to see it in person a few times, including its closing performance. I hope it gets a revival one day!
Christian Borle is too too perfect.

I didn’t realize that

I adore Christian Borle... so so much
I love it when Herbert goes limp like a rag doll. Cracks me the fuck up. Christian makes the funniest pathetic noises lmao

Just out of curiosity, which Sondheim musical is it referencing?

Christian Borle is Willy Wonka now
Ok...actually laughed out loud at the Sondheim reference
Their voice is insane, why on earth haven't they done more theatre stuff!!
4:37 He should’ve been PJ in the revival of Company instead of Bobby Conte Thornton. Either way both are better
