Insane video man love to see it
Definitely gonna be picking this up in the future.
another amazing review from the goat
Great video dude! I can tell you get a bit confused with your own thoughts but it’s all good!!
I’ve been using a QCK Large for over 7 years now and never changed, time to retire it with this new release!
Keep up the good work ✌🏼
yeah i just love the mousepad so much 😅
Love the plants stubby :3
would you recommend this coming from a qck heavy or should i take the zero fx soft? i play cs2/valorant and my mouse is a razer viper v3 pro. If so which hardness should i take?
I hope the Artisan type 99 will be released very soon. Im very excited to try the mousepad
Was bummed to hear this is similar feeling to the Saturn pro. I just got a Saturn pro, and it feels way to fast for my liking (my qck felt way more controlled) so I was hoping this new pad might be better. Might reconsider now.
Thanks for the video!
In terms of surface feel yes, but it’s is much slower dynamically.
cant wait to get it :D
im now torn between the type-99 and saturn pro, i'll be switching from a xtrfy gp4, dont know if you've tried it, sometimes i feel like and cant accurately micro adjust on the gp4, many times overflicking, can i get some thoughts? Thanks
awesome vid, binge watched some of your old videos and noticed you had a wine red artisan pad. any tips on how to get dark spots (just from moisture) out of the pad? i just got a brand new otsu and i washed my hands and didn’t fully dry them before playing and noticed a dark spot on the pad just an hour after getting it. figured it would go away once it dried but it hasn’t. i don’t want to fully wash the pad since it’s brand new and not dirty. any tips are much appreciated and keep up the solid content!
i have yet yo figure it out myself.
i have oil stain in my otsu and ive never spilled a drink on it ever.
another W review from stubby :)
loud ass fan noise 🗿🗿
i keep swapping between my gsr ii, gsr, and zero xsoft, i feel like type 99 might be the perfect middle ground
It’s good to use with arm sleeves? Has a lot of friction?
will you ever go indepth into your audio setup? coz i spot that stack in the corner of my eye
Awesome vid man, is that the grey or black version? I’m debating on which color I want bc it’s hard to get the true colors on camera lol
its the pre release black.
what are the color options for the type99?
how is the initial friction of the mousepad? is it similar to the zero but has slower dynamic friction or is it just muddy like a gsr
the static is pretty high, it take a lot to get the mouse moving and when it is moving the friction is very high.
so compared to a zero it feels more "sluggish"
I'll keep an eye on it during my trip to Japan.
I still think the best GSR-type with quality is ESP Tiger Quinsui 2 PRO+
The only problem is they released so many similiarly named mousepads people get confused and stay away.
It's like a GSR + QCK Heavy combo with stellar quality and 6mm thickness.
how does this do against the rizz?
no mice broken in this vid, banger nonetheless
Is there even a point of getting the type 99 with how similar it is to the Saturn pro v2
Speed wise, how does it compare to a Rizz, Padsmith ToD, or InfinityMice Control? Those are the 3 slowest pads I've used personally.
As slow at the control
V1
Rizz is slower but I hated the texture of the surface.
Never tried the TOD
hey apologies for the 3rd post here but figured I'd ask here in case anyone else had the same question. Are the differences with the different colors noticeable/significant? Was gonna pick up a matcha green one but if it's a big difference from the black then might stick with black
from what i've tried. no, the colors dont effect the speed at all.
Did you start maining the xsoft type 99? And what skates do u prefer with type 99?
Thank you!
i prefered faster pad skates, something like the jades or tiger ice v2
Hows humidity affect it? comparing to gsr1 and qck which get hella swampy with humidity I'd hope the type 99 would be more resistant
I live in a super humid environment and it’s been great.
Artisan pads have never had an issue with humidity for me.
How does the Type99 surface and level of control compare to the EGG EMC?
sadly i havent tried the em-c yet.
Bit confused at 1:10ish you said the dynamic friction is "so low" and then at 1:31 it's "very high" can you clarify? And again back to back at 2:34
its high, so dont script my videos and i have adhd so my thoughts are kinda all over the place.
but the pad has high dynamic friction
@@stubbyfps got it thanks for confirming!
If you compare it to the vaxee pa black... Which one is slower? If the 99 happens to be slower I ll wait for this.
they are very similar, but i would say the type99. Mainly cause its mad consistent.
what do u think the best skates to pair with this mousepad ? i have my eyes on the superglide v2 but am afraid that it might be too fast and lose the point of this mousepad of it being a control pad
i love the sgv2 but yeah, they are too quick on the type99. if you want lower static, try the jades or tiger ice v2 pad skates.
I purchased an artisan raiden xsoft mousepad size M but I don't know if this size is long enough, I had to buy size L ☹️
How would the speed of the Type 99 compare to the Saturn V2 with the SR base?
saturn v2 with the sr base is faster
What mouse skates would you recommend with the type 99 xsoft? Thinking of getting xraypad jades.
jades are my top choice for all pads
how does it feel when using a sleeve when compared to a saturn pro?
its similar to a zero with a sleeve. its not really a fun experience
Can I ask if what mousepad do you recommend that has less effect in humidity?
near all artisan pads or modern poron base pads
If they made it in orange id definitely try this
hhhhmmm good review buddy but dont think i didnt see u ad spam a bangalore looking away from u
noob!!!
anyways this gives us a good pic of ur preference & relation compared to other pads. beast vids mang i feel like this style helps give more vivid sense of what pad is like vs a lot of other reviewers ive seen
I was interested until you said its similar to the mud pad known as GSR. Ugh that thing was so slow i sold it after a few months. I might just go with a Vaxee PA. Although its been 5+ years since i had that GSR pad... maybe im more interested into it but i doubt it haha. Thanks for the review.
is this xsoft? since u mentioned you were going to receive the soft version
yes this is the xsoft. I have the soft now and its just as slow. just a firmer base and SLIGHTLY quicker.
No direct comparison with the InfinityMice ControlV2 sadge :(
looks sick though getting it for sure!
Yeah I was gonna get it but it’s in a pile of pads in My closet 😢
what monitor do you use? ViewSonic XG2431?
yup, fantastic monitor
i wonder whos song that is at the endddddd hmmmmmm
How's it compare to the Quaoar Neutron and the Infinitymice control v2?
Similar too both. Neutron has a lower static but it builds up over time, but they all play very similarly
@@stubbyfps thanks man
Got any clue when this comes? and if it will be in 490x490? :) cheers
in may afaik
Update, its 500x490
Is it better than zero?
Didnt know you had youtube! I shall have notifications on!
Imagine a 6mm thick type99. It'd be the perfect pad
Which mouse pad has more control, type99 or gsr?
I'm Japanese, so I'm sorry if my English is not good.
type99 has a slower consistent glide.
i would call it a better gsr.
type99は、よりゆっくりとした一貫した滑りがありますね。俺なら、それをよりいいGSRって呼ぶな。
(はじめてこれを試してみるんだけど、助けになるかな?)
@@stubbyfps
I understand.
Thank you very much!👍
What’s the muddiest slowest , most control pad in your opinion
minerva dna, i hated that thing
@@stubbyfps sweet
how is it compared to fnatic focus 3 max?
focus 3 max is closer to a zero than the type99
Can you please compare the soft version too!
actually just recorded it, gonna upload in a few hours!
I'm making my own glass pad since companies keep making slow pads
anyone know when this pad is dropping?
May iirc
Is the Type99 faster than the Rizz Doodles?
yes and now, the doodle rizz plays very strange
I wonder what a comparison with the QUAOAR Neutron Premium would look like.
nuetron play very odd, but the neutron would be slower fs
good video, you gotta rewatch it b4 you post though bro, i caught all the mistakes you made so like they dont confuse me but it could be different for other people.
I watch every video before post them.
I just have the memory of a fish or don’t see errors until after the video is live.
@@stubbyfps oh lmfao ify
any estimate on release date?
around may afaik
❤❤
artisan gang
when is this been released?
May 31st Afternoon JST
Compared to feng ling?
which one is that, i know i have it but i legit cant tell the esptiger pads apart 😅
the dot stock on the monitor just get bigger
about fucking time Artisan. Hopefully mine feels more like a qck than the zero, like they claim 😂
I need something with a lot of stopping power. Zero and Saturn im afraid wont do it for me.
this is def up your ally
Noti gang
Change your skates and it’s gg
I am a little irritated by the classification as a smooth control pad and the comparisons that are then made. When I think of smooth control without being muddy, the first thing I think of is the Rizz. The comparison would have been interesting.
Otherwise, interesting video, especially the part with the skates.
The Rizz is slow but I gave both copies I had away and I never really thing about it’s.
When I say smooth, it’s always compared to the gsr.
@@stubbyfps Ah ok. I'll try to keep it in mind when I watch your next videos. Sometimes such small differences in understanding a word can make a huge difference.
In any case, thanks for clarifying. 💜
I thought you stubbed your lamzu x fnatic mouse..
i have new one, i still have the piece of the old one in a bin
xg2431 gang
bro didnt tell me shit abt this !?!?!?!
stop calling it "muddy." That term is used for pads that are too dirty and slow. A slow pad is not muddy, it's slow, or high dynamic friction, etc...not muddy.
It’s not that deep buddy
Why dont u cut the video if u say 2 contradictory things back to back? u really like to contradict urself and repeat the same stuff too often, try to use less words. The 2mm qck IS the qck+
i thought the qck+ was the 6mm one? that was my first qck ever and i didnt look too deep into them cause i legit only bought it for the video 😅
@@stubbyfps qck heavy is 6mm, qck is 2mm s/m, qck+ is 45x40cm
whale rizz clone
not even close in feel, weave, texture, or quality
ur gain is too low imo
I disagree, people are too accustomed to near peaking levels which is ugly to hear and sounds. The only issue I hear is his lack of compression and possibly EQn
Yeah I kinda agree. The fan is really loud so I wasn’t tryna have it be super noticeable
I did eq and compress but premiere stock plugins are eh, they don’t really do a good job at it.
@@stubbyfps isotope nectar is amazing. Fan noise: Gate> compress or with nectar they recently improved their auto level mode which would sound better. Overall though I think you sound better than those muffled TH-cam vids
@@Vye1A imma have to reinstall it. I try to avoid having any of my music stuff on my gaming OS (I dual boot for gaming and music)
But I love izotope suite, I use it all the time (ozone and vinyl I mean)
Loud ass fan noise, stopped watching.
😈
truly the saddest moment of all time 😈
Do not buy glass skates
As someone who’s tried them all, this is true for everything except the superglide v2.
@@stubbyfps yeah the glass skates are 2x more expensive and 2x more grippy. I think the best pick is the tiger ice skates
Artisan doesn't know how to make pads
⁉️
@@stubbyfps I just wanted to see your reaction
How dare you make a Mousepad Video when you Mousepad is dirty af bro this is degusting
its just how it looks on camera. the pad was completely black and recently washed.
