    Overall a great trip! I followed the travel issues live on Instagram when they happened, but man Robert giving us the details - it was way worse than I thought. Glad everyone made it home safe!

      Thank you 😊 It was a lot, but thankfully we did make it home and all our luggage made it with us 😊

    Great trip all in all. Tip for next time: fly into Seattle. Then take the Amtrak Cascades from Seattle to Vancouver BC. You might have to coordinate your flight with the train but it’s better than what you went through in Toronto.

      That was actually our initial plan, but the train wasn’t running between Seattle and Vancouver at the time. I really wish we could have done that because it would have been a beautiful ride.

    Guys :-(
    I was wondering why you debarkation video is SOOOO long but now I get it. What an adventure …
    Greetings from Germany

      It was a roller coaster of an adventure getting home, but we finally did 😊
      Have a great time on your cruise in May! 💕

      @@HereWithTheEars no, we have BEEN in Alaska...
      So it was nice to see your trip as well.
      But our vlog is german... at least there is a non-verbal timelapse from the Dawses Glacier excursion.
      BUT LUCKILY it was easy to fly home, we made it back to Europe in 10hours, not to the states in feels-like-100-hours :-)

    We went to the suspension bridge the day before our Alaska cruise. One of our favorite parts of the trip.

    What a day(s) of travel to end your trip! Makes me second guess the trip I want to plan to Toronto next year! 😂😂😂

      I would hope by then they’ve worked out a few issues 😂

    That suspension bridge your looked awesome! Toronto airport looked like a nightmare. We’ve never seen anything like that at the baggage claim area. Definitely don’t blame you guys for just staying and waiting for your bags. We would have the same thing and bought the lounge!

      It was truly crazy being there 🫣 Thankfully we made it home with our luggage and got lots of sleep after that 😄

      Traveling out of the country this past summer was an adventure in itself. But we are glad we had such a great time in Alaska 💕

    Do you always book travel with insurance? I wouldn’t think about flight delay coverage.

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not always, but with the amount of traveling and flying we were doing this year, we made sure we had coverage for the year just in case something happened. 😊

    Are airline tickets included in when booking or is that something I would have to purchase on my own?

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  ปีที่แล้ว

      Flights are not included in the price of a cruise. You purchase those on your own.

    Didn't the airline arrange a hotel for you and you have to claim it with your insurance, instead of at the airline?

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No they did not. There are different rules and regulations in Canada for things like that. Needless to say, we won’t be using that airline again, and if we did this again, we’d fly to Washington for the connecting flight so we wouldn’t have to deal with the airport in Canada any more than just getting off the plane. We learned a lot 😬
