Great thorough and easy to follow instructions. I just picked up a Smokey Mountain and am looking for things to smoke that will make my wife happy. Thanks for posting!
I just smoked a bone in turkey breast and followed your video. It came out absolutely perfect! I used hickory because I had no pecan, but it was outstanding!!! Thank-you!
The Weber Smokey Mountain is a set-it-and-forget-it unit if you're using it properly. I'm literally going to sleep with a brisket flat on one now! Rock solid temps every time. Great video I definitely enjoyed it!
Thanks for the video, this is my first smoked Turkey on the Webber Smokey Mountain and your husband saved me with the advice on leaving out the water bowl. Appreciate it and Merry Christmas
What a beautiful back yard! I love that your husband called the giblets gravy mix! I like giblet gravy but have never made it. Your husband did a great job explaining all the steps. The turkey turned out beautifully! ~Andrea
Thanks, Andrea! That yard has been a process, that's for sure! I love how its turned out though. I didn't even catch that my Husband called the giblets gravy! Giblet gravy is delicious, my mom always makes it with turkeys but I have never made it myself either. Thanks for watching!
Wish I had a smoker looks delicious. Your hubby did a great job explaining everything about the smoker. We also love using Lawry's seasoning. The pecan part was funny.
Thanks, I thought my hubby was pretty thorough too and the video ended up being pretty long. I love Lawry's, it's simple but good. My Mom used it a lot when I was growing up so that's probably why I like it. I liked his pronunciation of pecan too. Lol As always, thanks for watching, Crystal!🙂
@@CrystalEvans sometimes simple is the best! I am trying to talk my Hubby into smoking something with an actual rub of some kind, though because some of the rubs he has used were really good!
Would love to try a smoker. Lawry's is good stuff. Sometimes simple is the way to go. We cooked our Thanksgiving turkey with just a simple rub. This is quite the fancy smoker, btw. Love the color of that skin! That salad is also beautiful. Wouldn't mind stopping by for Easter next year :)
I love that smoker, it is the best. I think I actually prefer it over the grill. And yes, sometimes simple is best but we do like to do some rubs too. And after seeing all the delicious things you two get to eat, it makes me want to come your way!
Hey Alicia, That turkey breast looks so good, I wish I was at your place for Easter. I especially liked the way the peas salad looked (I love a good pea salad) 😋. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Smoked turkey breast is so good! I think the only way I like it better is in the fryer! And that salad didn't make it more than two days before it was gone. I swear, I could eat that every day! Thanks so much for watching, Howard, and have a great weekend! 😊
This was a really great team effort! Smoked food is always so expensive. I’ll bet this was tastier and cost way less than anything you can buy. The smoker really looks like bullet bill 😂. The pecan thing was hilarious. You guys did a great job!!
Thanks, Wendy! It was definitely cheap to make compared to what you would spend when you buy it. The smoker itself wasn't cheap but we have definitely used it enough to warrant buying it! We even take it with us cross country when we go visit family and smoke stuff for them! It has been a lot of fun! Thanks for watching!
Yay to hubby for participating! So jealous of your yard and house omg ideal.. seems like such a relaxing place. That turkey looks mouthwatering seriously i love my meat to be alittle more cooked than usual, i wanna cook a turkey just for dinner lmao. I love Lawrys!! Great video
That yard has been a long process but I am loving how it's turned out so far! Thanks for the compliments! Cooking a turkey in a smoker is one of my favorite ways to do it. And Lawry's is one of my favorite seasonings, simple but good! Thanks so much for watching!💛
We looked at the 22 but ended up going with the smaller one just because we actually take ours with us places so smaller was better. We've gone cross country with that thing at least once. I can see how the 22 inch would be nice though! We've had ours for a lot of years too and it works as well as it ever did. They are great! Thanks for watching!
This is a truly awesome video, and that turkey looked soooo good!!!!! Great seeing your hubby, too!! We don't have a smoker, but we have looked at them before. All your food looked delicious!!!
Thanks! I love almost anything that is cooked on the smoker, I definitely don't regret buying it! I've already asked my hubby if I can film him doing other stuff on the smoker, mostly so I get more smoked food and I don't have to cook! Lol Thanks for watching!
Would love to know how you affixed the Pit probe. The video for that controller shows utilizing a clip to attach it to the grate. Don’t know how well your shortcut of just dumping the probe through the vent will work in practice
If you look at 8:02 on the video you see the temp probe being “dumped” through the vent but does not show the probe being attached to the grate which would have been hard to do this far along in the process.
So, I just got my 22" WSM yesterday (we have a very large family). Wife and kids are out at the farm for the weekend, and I have exactly the same turkey breast lined up to smoke for them to eat when they get back tomorrow afternoon. How long did this cook take? I know it's cook to temp, not to time, but I want to know when I need to get up and get started.
The 18 inch WSM takes about 45 to get up to temp but I don't know how long the 22 WSM takes to get to temp. You want to factor that in to the time too though. As far as how long the cook is, if you keep it at the 325 degree range, it takes about an hour and 1/2 to cook for the average turkey breast you get in the store. So from start to finish about 2 hours 15 minutes with our set up. Hope you enjoy your WSM!

They WSM is great, we have really enjoyed it through the years! Thanks for watching and enjoy that brisket!
Hey thanks for the love on my channel. Returning the support. It's great to meet you. Your porch and yard is so beautiful. The Turkey looks so yummy!
Thank you so much! I will get back over to your channel soon!
Thanks for the video, this is my first smoked Turkey on the Webber Smokey Mountain and your husband saved me with the advice on leaving out the water bowl.

Thanks, Kory! I will pass it along to him. I love everything in that smoker, it all turns out so good!

AliciaLynn we’ll all the hard work has paid off. ☺️
Spent the extra money on the 22 inch you can always use more space am I right or am I right know what I mean! It’s 12 years and still work perfectly

Amazing!!! We need to get one of those!! It was fun to see your husband on here too!! ❤️❤️
I love that smoker, everything turns out so great on it! Thanks so much for watching, Jenny!😊💛

My husband always wanted a smoker! But man that turkey looks so good!! I'm going to have to consider one now just so i can smoke a turkey!!
Smokers are great, I highly recommend them! Thanks so much for watching!
Great video!! This looks like a very nice grill:) Just watching this makes me so hungry!! It turned really nice:):) so tender!! Thanks for sharing:)
I love when my husband makes things on the smoker or grill because that means no cooking for me! lol Thanks so much for watching!
This looks like such an awesome recipe, thanks for sharing!
Smoking a Turkey is one of my favorite ways to prepare it second to frying! Thanks for watching! 💛

Well, it wasn't just dumped through the vent....it was put through the vent, then clipped to the grate.

@@tomswift9542 You can see him clip it onto the grate at 7:48
Rough way to do it
Great Job! Enjoyed the video
Thank you and thanks for watching! 😊
Lol!! Pecan, pee-kin!!! That looks amazing! 👍
