Looks solid. More like a great all around alternative phone than a "has all the features" device. I think people aren't giving enough credit to things like camera quality on a phone that isn't from Samsung, Google or iPhone. The A.I. features are just photo features as far as we know and that one Linus tried worked pretty damm good. I haven't tried air drop alternatives, airdrop is very fast transfer speed, does the alternatives that other commenters never seem to specify work as fast? I'd like a 3.5mm but I've kinda moved on, any headphones that are worth using over 3.5mm need a DAC. Plus 3.5mm dongles are so small now they just look like 1-2 inches of extra wire. No weird bulk. I've hated the removal of MicroSD for so many years but I'm not gonna lie, the reasons I want MicroSD now would make MicroSD less useful because I'd want to copy or move large files like movies/camera videos etc to and from the extra memory and the transfer speeds would be a fraction of what current UFS speeds offer over that USB C port. I currently just plug in a small nvme SSD to my iphone and also my old Galaxy if I ever need to backup, copy or share something.

Sorry, I just saw a video on the new Redmagic & remembered that phones don't have to have camera bumps & holes in the screen. I'm not interested in any phones following these stupid trends that consumers don't actually want.
Okay boomer
@@SLADHuntter-du6pv You think I'm a boomer because I want a phone with good design? OK alpha
One negative aspect of the Redmagic phone is that it doesn't have an IP rating because of the active cooling. Also, Redmagic only provides 2 years of software support, which is bare minimum.
@@MethLord Yeah, it's not a perfect phone. I just wish there were more choices if you want a phone that actually sits flat on a table, or has a headphone jack.
Phone manufacturers always chase stupid trends like curved screens. Thankfully that one has ended. They keep making phones that look nice in renders rather than really improving the user experience.
Guess you're a fan of the following stupid non-trends: no water resistance rating, no decent front facing camera, phone depth making it feel like a phone without a case, uncompetitive cameras... Need I go on?
It's misleading that you said "airdrop files to iPhone" when it requires a third party app on the iPhone.
It's not misleading when they show the whole process including that it needs an app.
Except if it's an app, it's not airdrop. It's just other sharing service
New dbrand phone skin @5:37
Ah yes people would much rather an IR blaster than a headphone jack and expandable storage
I hate that Chinese brands are still trying to copy iphones. Your stuff is fantastic. Be original. You just come off as a knock off
Original and Chinese seldom go together.
They're smart enough to know everyone would happily buy an iPhone if it wasn't overpriced, feature handicapped, and without the few gimmicks that make a new phone cool for a while.
@@wr3099 Simply untrue. Many many people prefer android. Myself included.
@@superior96 true. But you can't take away advancements pioneered by the Chinese in the last decade. Huawei's trifold, silicon batteries are the most recent for example.

its 2024 just use a gah damm dongle its 7$ bro 😂 also why even bother when bluetooch codecs like LDAC exsist

“Mom can we have airdrop on Android?”
Oppomom:”we got airdrop at the house”
So no sd card expansion or headphone jack, but I can transfer files with iphone? Weak
You can transfer files to a different device if they have an app!! (Just like every other phone in existence)
Ehh caring about sd card expansion and headphone jack is kinda useless in 2024 just drop it already. im not even sure why you would even bother with the jack.. the Solution to that is very cheap and simple, plus dont act like we dont have bluetooth codecs like LDAC that make the difference between wired and wireless quite negligible.
as for the iphone air drop thing... its kinda trash requiring an app to install.. Samsungs approach with QR code link to download via server is much better
@@Quan5021 For the Jack, it isn't about not having Bluetooth headphones (and no, not everyone agrees that wireless is better). I use Bluetooth headphones, but sometimes I forget to charge them, or one of the buds/case gets temporarily misplaced and being able to plug in any pair of headphones is nice. And while Bluetooth earbuds are getting cheaper, they are still a fair amount more expensive
I used my headphone jack daily, back before my family changed carriers and phones, and I frequently wish I had one. 3.5mm ports are far more versatile and reliable.
Also, I can get wired headphones for $4. Show me a pair of wireless headphones that cost less then $15.

good job on dubbing the corrections. It's understandable that mistakes are spoken during production (it shouldn't happen!) but text notes are not enough..
1:20 the USB standard is pretty confusing and the weird naming pattern and constant renaming of it certainly doesn't help, but can you clarify which USB ports are used here?
USB 3.0 was renamed to USB 3.2 Gen 1x1
USB 3.1 was renamed to USB 3.2 Gen 2x1
USB 3.2 was renamed to USB 3.2 Gen 2x2
Edit: there also seems to be the USB 3.2 1x2 specification, which signals at the same speed as USB 3.2 2x1 but uses older tech and thus has marginaly worse data transfer rates.
"can airdrop files to iphone users" Isn't transfer by bluetooth common thing anymore? That "airdrop" transfer thingy looked a lot like the same thing as we used to do on Nokias and early Androids.
I'm surprised that you didn't talk about the new silicon carbon (Si/C) battery technology in those phones.
1:22 I might be getting my USB names confused, but isn’t USB 3.2 Gen1 the same as USB 3.0? That would presumably make these the same standard.
mistake at 9:05 saying usb2.0
Whoops! Good catch. We'll remove that line 🫡 - Bell
Missing the one feature I really want in a good phone these days: Micro SD support.
No deal.
For features it is missing an active stylus, air triggers, thermal camera, headphone jack, micro SD card expansion, wireless charging/battery share. And probably even more features that I am forgetting so no this phone doesn't have "all" the features.
But but but AI.
Just get a damn gaming phone ffs
50 watt wireless charging
They should find expandable storage, dual sims and a headphone jack if it really is that packed with features

IR blaster actually super cool
@@Fahqth OnePlus brought it back to the 12. I absolutely love it. Had a Pixel before for 4 years, don't regret the switch at all.
@@FahqthI wouldn't get your hopes up... It seems like it's only the Chinese manufacturers that are keeping the IR blaster. The Chinese market must have wanted/used it better than the rest of the WW market.
I had an IR blaster on a few phones and loved it... Even carried one with me in my laptop bag for years so I had a universal remote if I needed it.
IR blasters are a common feature on lower budget phones, same goes with dual SIM, SD card slot, and a headphone jack. It is so strange how the flagship phones give up these features.
@@NickLavicbecause as counter intuitive as it is, the main demographic that seems to buy flagship phones is not power users and does not care for those features.
Thumbs up for showing the IP rating sheet. I've never seen what those other ratings are for. Neat!. Imagine if something was rated IP19 that'd be something
If this is going to help anyone. We have Apple and google pixel in my houshold. I had never heard of Oppo before because I am from North America. I became very very curious about the x8pro. I was conflicted between the pixle 9 and the apple 16 pro. I am very familiar with those phones and experienced them. I finally made a decision to buy the x8 pro. With all my heart. I am in love with this phone. To me it is a superior phone and there will be a huge competition if this phone hit North America's market. I do not regret buying this phone. It is sooo amazing.
The Airdrop separate app allows both iPhone and Oppo users to transfer files by just bumping against each other
Your iPhone friends will bully you high-school level if you try to pull that off with them.
😂😂😂
no micro sd?
no 3.5mm audio jack?
no buy, those are key features.
how can you claim they have all the features with those two missing?
also, no user serviceable battery as well . .
They are not key features we've lived for years without them. Please come out of your cave every now and again
Can we stop about the headphone jack and sd card... Like 512GB and 1TB and wireless transfer to the pc and just on the fly cloud storage options... Who uses SD cards anymore they suck, they where expensive and slow and became totally useless in a phone 10 years ago already.
And a headphone jack really now... Even mid range bluetooth headset and headphones now go past 50 hours of play, charge within a hour and no more stupid wire on the phone like our mp3 players in the mid 2000's. Seriously let's keep that in the past from now.
And servicable battery??? Like really dude? I bought my first cell phone in 1999 and i owned hundreds by now. And not once did i replace a battery back then.. Owh phone broke i bought a new one... Hell back in the days with replacable battery's in phone's. We did not even go so long with a phone... Few months and we bought another one because the technology was evolving so quick. And with battery's right now they have enough life in them to just go as long before you start thinking about upgrading to a new phone anyhow.
Key features for you and a bunch of nerds nerdind about them on forums. For the vast majority of buyers apparently not. Otherwise, they would not be buying phones w/o those "key features".
Please wake up man it's not 2016: anymore 🙏.
The trend now is super smooth and snappy animations, live with it.
if less bloat and no ads in the OS I'd be sold.
When talking about phone cameras, you should figure out the sensor size and math out the FF equivalent aperture.
so discord is airdrop now?
Or use a Anker magsafe device that supports micro and sd card and has a fast type c pass through or use Google's archive (which i love) to save space and thus not to have to buy more storage for a phone because I'm using a 7pro and it's 256gb and using gave me extra extra space

1 a good screen with small bezels
2 usb c 3.0 minimum ( video out support )

It is the only way to push the same sensors under the new sauce. We already reached physical limit of camera size to the device thickness in 2015

$1250?! Are you kidding?! I thought these were going to be $600-700 at most being an Oppo!
I currently just plug in a small nvme SSD to my iphone and also my old Galaxy if I ever need to backup, copy or share something.
going to the developer option you will see where you can test the screen to see if it's 4500 nits, here's a small cutout testerin there developer option But thanks Linus
