That is true a few years ago but not today. Snapon is now going to make there own taps and dies and drill bits. They used to use Irwin but that ended a few like 2 years ago. Snapon Dealer in my area still does not have tap and die set yet. Just letting ya know snap on lost deal with Stanley I guess is safe to say. There doing there own thing so prob gonna buy someone out. Sure it will be announced soon. Nice vid.
Harbor Freight has been selling this set for $80 for years.. I bought this set from there about 7ish years ago.. It's the same set that a lot of people sell. Just configured in the blow molded case a little differently...
Cheap tap/die sets are great for thread repair, not so much for thread cutting Tread lightly, or they will cause you more than $100 in grief when the excrement hits the fan
