This song came out right when I was going through a really fucked up break up with my ex-fiance. One of our songs was Killpop. I needed this exact song when it came out. Thank you Slipknot. You beautiful bastards.
This is one of the best songs this band has ever produced. Coming from a guy whose favorite band is Slipknot. I know their whole catalog, in and out. Unreal man. I still get cold shivers on the delivery of that last line; “I haven’t smiled in years...” Just hits like a ton of bricks.
100% agree, TBH I don't know much of their stuff and not a huge fan of the songs I do know but this song I listen to over and over and if you read up about it he deliberately put this song last on the album and particularly that line at the end. He expresses real emotions from himself and it shows, not just producing music for money like so many other musicians 🤘I will definitely be listening to more of their stuff and hope i find more i like from slipknot. ✌
@revo Fuck yeah man🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 It really is unreal. Just on another level for them. And their level is always fucking top notch. I can’t think of another track that’s just this...moving. I just feel every single syllable, every single note. It’s the ultimate Slipknot track.
Love or hate Slipknot, this song is pure perfection all around. From the vocals to the instrumentals, there is something special behind this song. You can tell the entire band was in full force recording such a powerful track.
@@khiroooo your username describes you perfectly. its a question of musical taste no point in arguing over that. plus they literally said they dont give a fuck
The big 4 I listened to all of them in the 80s especially Metallica and Slayer. When I heard Slipknot in the beginning of the 2000s I was hooked absolutely my favorite band and I'm almost 50 Slipknot never gets old god bless Slipknot and all the Maggots that support them
Perfect song to blast when I feel shit, which happens quite often. This song is just so raw, full of pain, anger and suffering, comparable with that of Iowa, even better than Iowa in my opinion. This is definitely my FAVORITE Slipknot song
Iowa was the real SLIPKNOT. Fast paced, manic screams and occasional melody with the crazy guitars. I have no words for it, it's just different and unfuckwithable
I think I’ve given my self a bit of brain damage from it 😂 been such a long while since I’ve heard a slipknot song that just forcibly makes you want to head bang
I think what makes this one of their best songs imo (top 10 EASILY) is that it has a fuck ton of the aggression that we got with the self titled and Iowa, but the finesse that they’ve learned over the years too.
Yeah it is, but you missed out. The aggressive and heavy performance is dying down because they're getting older. Early 2000s and late 90s was where it's at.

This one's amazing honestly.
W.a.n.y.k is a hell of an album after that disastrous ( for me ) the grey chapter.
And folowwing ur opinion..solways firth is a hell of a song....i might say the same as you!!!
Probably the best song they have ever recorded. Gonna be hard to top this one.
Me too. Just can't get it out of my head
This is one of Slipknot's best songs and I feel like it'll never get the credit it deserves.
This and unsainted are definitely top ten
Listening to this whole album makes you 150% stronger in the gym.

This song came out right when I was going through a really fucked up break up with my ex-fiance. One of our songs was Killpop. I needed this exact song when it came out. Thank you Slipknot. You beautiful bastards.
Slipknot: (music starts)
Me: I LOVE IT

@Fortunate One I think it’s more about Martyrdom than Armageddon itself. Just my take.
@Fortunate One Sorry bro. This song is not about Armageddon.
It's about an ugly, painful divorce.
It’s amazing that they’re pumping out quality tunes like this, this late into their career.
I don't remember ever being this hyped for a new Slipknot album, and I got the first one back in 2000.
This has got to be one of the best metal songs of all time. A masterpiece!

Love or hate Slipknot, this song is pure perfection all around. From the vocals to the instrumentals, there is something special behind this song. You can tell the entire band was in full force recording such a powerful track.

Perfect song to blast when I feel shit, which happens quite often. This song is just so raw, full of pain, anger and suffering, comparable with that of Iowa, even better than Iowa in my opinion. This is definitely my FAVORITE Slipknot song
