Thanks for watching!!! That's why I made it. For people like you! I noticed there were no reviews when I was looking to buy one, myself. HOWEVER. I will be reviewing the figma itself. I had them on the same brand of flight stands in the video, not knowing how much BETTER the figma stand was. It PLUGS into the back of Homelander at an angle. So you can spin 360 degrees, and he stays on. I'm liking the abilities of the figma more, and more.
Love this video bro! Great and in depth comparison of the two. They are both so good idk which one to get! I also like how you interact with your fans a lot like replying to their comments and helping them out. Keep up the great work bro! 😎
Thanks man. These figures are expensive. If I can help you make the choice that's best for you. Then, I've done my job. If there's any questions you have, I'm more than happy to answer.
Man I needed this review so long ago, but I still appreciate you having made this review/comparison, I have been way more than happy with my mafex homelander, although ofc I still wish there were the laser and head range that the figma has, though those lasers seemed like hassle to work with 😂, appreciate mate 👍
At first I was putting them on the wrong eyes. They click right in. I love how Mafex looks, but if you saw the whole video... Stuff just keeps flying off it. Same thing happens to my Rocketeer chest piece. Have you ever had the blue shoulder hinges come off? I was posing his arm up, and both pad and hinge came off. Thankfully, no carpet. So it was easy to find. But it's TINY.
Would you like me to make a video, showing how make laser eyes, that will attach to most 6-8 inch figures? I've been thinking about doing it. My Superman figures could use some.
But as for the arms I've came around to working with he arms to not pop the pads off, but at the same time I've left it sitting for a while so it hasnt happend in a long while, then again I still work around but not enough to push me away to try have fun while messing with it, the chest piece is annoying, but the second chest piece going out has a tighter connection than the chest piece it already comes with, so I use that one often, but when I want to see that loose chest piece I simply use pieces of regular paper rolls to kinda put in the socket when I attach the piece, makes a it less likely to pop off, but u have thought about maybe putting super glue, and constantly take the piece in and out as the glue cools down to hopefully create enough friction to keep the chest piece secure, but I havent dared to do that yet, the paper technique has worked fine for me tho, even then it can still pop off sometimes, but I just use the second chest piece nowadays
Just went back to mess around with my homelander, and I have absolutely no issue moving the arms without the pads or hinges coming off at all, the moment i lift the arms up the pads actually move out the way perfectly, i even applied some minor force while posing and no, perfectly fine, but another thing i forgot to mention is that the lower torso does pop off if i make it cruch back a bit too much, ive worked around by now tho, im probably making it have more range than i wish it too but i do consider doing a super glue trick on the lower torso oeg connection maybe
It sucks because I really like certain aspects of both. The mafex has the removable chest piece and articulated shoulder pads, but the figma has laser eyes and his bloody face. I wish the mafex at least had laser eyes, he barely has any accessories besides heads and hands.
I know what you mean. We don't really get a figure that has it all. IDK why it was so hard for MAFEX to make a better figure. BTW, the FIGMA stand plugs into the figure. I assembled it after the video. It's AWESOME. You can spin him on it! I just hate the exposed ball joints.
Awesome Review Bro👍❤💙, honestly I would pick the Figma because the Quality is very good compared to Mafex which is very pricey & with QC issues. My first BVS Wonder Woman which I bought for RM150 her arm joint broke😭
Thank you so much. didn't build the Figma stand. It plugs INTO HIS BACK. You can spin it 360, and not worry. I wish they made toys like this when I was a kid. I feel you parts breaking. A leg on my Batman 89 NECA broke. Had to glue it back on. If you wanna see the stand, before I post to YT. It's on my Twitter x.com/Captainhavfun/status/1808970397842616465/video/1
You mean my voice? I had to have surgery to on my vocal chords. Plus, I'm a big guy. YEAH... I HATE my voice. When I did radio I do the voice you might sometimes hear me slip into. It's higher pitched. THANK YOU for watching my video. I do these for you guys, and to give me something to do. This vid cost me almost $600, buying 2 of each figure.
Thanks. I gotta make an update. The Figma comes with a flight stand. I just didn't want to take the time to build it on cam. But it plugs into his back. No claws!
so, the neca figure seems to be discontinued, so it's narrowed down to these two pretty much, it seems like the mafex one is much better figure, but the figma one comes with laser vision effects, which is a big selling point, what would you suggest?
What do you want to do with it? I actually need to make a short. The Figma's stand PLUGS into his back. You can spin him 360 degrees, and he stays connected to the stand, and "flying". IDK if that matters to you. The plastics are very similar, if not the same. If you really want the alternate chest pieces, and bit bigger cape, then Mafex is the must have. If you like to change poses, and or play with him, Figma is better.
@@CaptainHavfun-lp4ok i like to pose my figures fighting other figures, and I feel like the mafex one might have a slightly better sculpt and paint, but I definitely want the laser eyes and if the figma one is more poseable that’s probably the one I will buy
@@CarterK-r5v It's much much easier to pose. You have to be careful just lifting the Mafex arm, because his shoulder pads pop off a LOT. IDK if YT will let me do this. But I have a pic like you're talking about. x.com/Captainhavfun/status/1779162331509031223/photo/1 Good example of the laser eyes, and fighting pose.
Would you like it, if I made an easy how to vid, to make laser eyes, that can connect to almost any figure? The blast would start at the eyes, to make it easier to attach. I'm doing it for some of my Mafex, and other 6 - 8 inch figures. I just imported a Mafex Batman Knightfall. So if you like that, I'll be going over it, and my blue and gray Mafex Batman Hush, soon.
For Homelander? My unboxing vid wouldn't play. IDK why. Bought a new memory card. BUT, I'm making an unboxing, review, and comparison video for 2 Mafex figures, and their McFarlane counterparts. People keep overlooking one figure. So, if you like Mafex, that should be posted in the next few days. I'm just waiting on one figure to arrive.
Yeah. It looks great. It just falls apart constantly. Be careful with the little blue hinges that hold the shoulder pads on. My floors are cement (in studio). The house has light tile. So, it's wasn't too hard to find it. But, without it, the pads will not stay on . That's why I say, if you just wanna show him off, buy Mafex. But, if you wanna have fun with your kids, or just enjoy putting him in silly poses, Figma is better. I kinda love the laser eyes attachment too. I have both figures close to each other, on my display shelf.
Around $150 each. This channel is not monetized. I just do this to help people. Please like and sub. When I get over 1k subs, I can use the money to start a toy drive for kids in DTLA.
Why are these over $100 and g. I. Joe classified series deluxe figures are $30-$40 and some of them on Amazon are $15 for the standard ones someone help me understand why there is such a huge price difference
@@jtscustomcutlery317 You get what you pay for. The material used to make these are great. They're very articulate. The licensing fee cost a lot. I have to import them from Japan. There's usually a ton of accessories with them. Not to mention the detail. BUT, I agree. I can see why Mezco is expensive, as they make the costumes for their figures. But these are mostly molds, and paint. McFarlane sells 7 inch figures from $12-$40 each.
YOU ARE CORRECT SIR! Especially when you don't add the hair! The only faults with the Mafex head sculpt is that he can't look up. They didn't include laser eyes. But, I'm gonna make a vid on how to make laser eyes for any figure. So, people can put them on any figure they want.
@@CaptainHavfun-lp4ok I was originally going to buy the Figma because of the meme face, but when I took a closer look, the figma looks too cartoonish, so deicided to buy the Mafex instead.
@@karlluigi1987 Yes, depends on what you want. Mafex has a better face, but can't look up, unlike Figma. Figma also has an AMAZING stand that plugs into his back. No claws! It's much more durable, and fun to play with. I didn't know it wasn't a normal stand, when I opened it. But, it's an actual toy. ZERO stress, when I wanna change his pose, or even let a kid play with it. On his stand, you can SPIN him 360, and not worry.
