Fining what you're looking for in a store takes CONCENTRATION!!!! Retail establishments are full of distractions, which make it very difficult and frustrating to find what I'm looking for. Among those distractions are piped in music, kids crying and whining, and people talking on their phones, and even conversation between two people. On my I-pod, besides my favorite music, I have a WHITE NOISE recording. It's "Turboprop Flight Sound", recorded from a LockHeed L-188 Electra. When I put this sound on my headphones, it sounds as if I'm flying in a turboprop airliner. That steady low pitched drone of the props, accompanied by the sound of the cabin air system is a sound that ISN'T distracting that drowns out sounds that ARE distracting.
One way the human body could be more user friendly is if we could close our ears like we close our eyes. It frustrates me that we can't do that. I'm hoping that they'll invent a switch that you can have implanted that will allow us to switch off our hearing as easily as we can turn off the stereo and TV.
When doing chores at home, I choose to do them in SILENCE! NO RADIO!!! NO TV!!!! NO I-TUNES!!! AND NO CD'S!!!!! JUST SILENCE!!!!!! When doing chores at home, I want to CONCE------AND-------TRATE on WHAT---- I-------AM DOING!!!!!!!! That means think about ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT THE TASK AT HAND! Chores like dusting and wiping down kitchen counters, which entail a lot of shuffling are when I REALLY NEAD TO BOTH CONCE-----AND-------TRATE!!!!!!!!! When doing such chores, I tell myself, it's just as important to concentrate while doing these chores, as it is if I'm flying a commercial airliner. The problem I have with not concentrating on chores that entail shuffling is that it leads to missplasure of things that I need or that are important to me. The frustration that incidents of missplasure creates is very PROVOCATIVE to me!!! As I struggle to locate what I've misplaced, I tend to loose my temper!!!! It leads me into doing or saying things that can potentially get me in trouble. Also, in the process of searching for a misplaced item, I misplace other things that I need as I pull everything out in effort to find the first thing I've misplaced.
An incident of missplasure, I consider as serious as wrecking my car!!!! If I never find the misplaced item, or if it never turns up, the car is totaled!!!!

Rob I have to throw out a opinion that nobody (especially not you) asked for. It has nothing to do with the topic of the video but with something you mentioned in a podcast episode a while ago. I don't know why I have to tell you this but I had it on my mind since then so yeah :D
You mentioned now that you're a little bit older you have a total different vision on the influence of video games (btw I'm from German I hope I use the right words if not I apologize) especially the kind of video games where you shoot people. And I totally respect your opinion on this!! Idk why I just want to tell you my opinion and how I see shooter games. I'm a pretty calm and peaceful girl and like to do meditations and stuff like that. But I also really love playing shooter games and the reason why is that it's nice to hit and aim right bc it gives you the feeling of having good reactions (idk how to express this) and the target could also be this simple kind of target (the one that you hit with a bow and arrow) and basically it would be the same fun but what's so nice about hitting running enemies is that they are more flexible, they can slide and crouch and things like that. And you can't really make those arrow-bow-targets move like that, you know what I mean? And it's also the fact that they are other players which want to hit a target just like you and then it's about who is the better one? I must say that I have never really thought about that those games simulate a real war and that they trigger our brains in that kind of way. But of course I respect your opinion and I didn't write this bc I want to change your opinion or something like that. I'm pretty sure you won't even read this comment but I feel better now that I could throw out my opinion in this comment section, sorry that it turned out so long. Have a nice day/evening/night whoever might read this. :)

I just realized that there are many many targets that you can hit with bow and arrow lol. I meant those round targets with circles, you know what I mean?
