Love hornbeams. Got a few. Cheap to buy bare-root too.

Hey man! Awesome tree, I noticed that it was little shaky in the pot! Don’t wanna be a “know it all” but I have seen guys use yarn to keep it anchored in the pot! I dunno if you know this already or not, so I won’t go into detail unless your interested! Love the videos man, look forward to the next one!

Thanks dude ☺️.. Yeah I've seen it done..its a good technique.. Once I watered it became much more stable.. Its doing well. Looking forward to seeing this fully flushed with growth.

@@bonsaiexpression you’ll have to do a update video once it’s in leaf!! I actually can’t believe you paid 6 pound for it!! Crazy deal!!

with a hornbeam is not much of a risk they're aggressive growers. you could plant up the stub you cut off to get a quick make size tree.

It seem too tall for me with no taper. If it were me being modest I would saw it off above the 5th or 4th branch. Why keep it so tall?

Keeping it taller will thickin it faster. Then later on down the line do another chop to help taper then grow then chop again.
