Nice video! This would be really interesting on drums.
this pedal has become essential to my sound. I almost never perform or compose without using it :)
Fancy seeing you here. I'm thinking of getting this too
@@croghr CHIEF DO IT It's still a nuts pedal after all this time!
@@JustASnackhow do u use it? mines comes in the mail today
@@jjtcortez On guitar, I have it at the end of my signal chain. I mainly use it as a "signal-destroyer" when I want any sense of cohesion or stability gone from my sound towards the end of a climactic song or movement. Consider placing a distortion pedal after the mini-glitch and turning the dry-mute switch on for something really nuts.
Otherwise, it works great if placed after delays and pad reverbs with the dry-pass switched on to create extra layers of detail. Sometimes I will let my dark star hold a chord, not play anything else, and just turn on the mini-glitch to create these glitchy, skippy artifacts that add some motion to the reverb, almost like you have a 'raining' sound on the reverb.
Dude that’s awesome! I just traded for one of these even though there weren’t any solid demos. Glad to see that there is now!
Can you make a demo of this pedal too? :)
aBunchOfPedals Please also make a demo of these my dude!
Needed this video. I'm suscribed to the mailing and now I am more than just excited
I need this now
Very good demo, thank you. One question: in threshold mode, minimum sample size = random sample size as well?
@collector//emitter: It would be great if you could let me know. :)
Did you ever find out?
@@zechs5079 Yes. I asked David, the creator of the pedal: "Does the threshold mode also support random sample sizes by setting the sample size knob completely counter-clockwise?". His answer: "Yes." :)
I'm trying to find out what pedal produces the sound in the first 5 seconds of the vid. Your intro ... What is it / what's sound effect called?
So this intro (and every other intro on my channel) is just the first clip of the demo reversed. This pedal won't really do that reverse on its own, but a Tensor, Mood, or CT5 should
Amazing demo as always! What are you thoughts on this vs the Dwarfcraft Grazer or Red Panda Particle? I'm in the market for a glitchy/stuttery/granular effect and I'm torn between these 3! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks so much man! I feel like those 3 all do similar things but approached from different angles. This is more like an aggressive stutter, the Grazer is somewhere between this and a delay, and the Particle is mostly a delay with a little glitch to it. The Tensor kinda puts together all three and might be another great option
A bit late to the party but how do you control wet/ dry volume? Is it the internal trimpot? I put my ottobit jr in the fx loop of a delay to be able to get some dry tone. Thank you
Ps would you recommend it for stutter effects? I spent 500 dollars on the infinite jets and its useless
It's possible to buy this on line ? Cannot find the producer shop :/
The link to his website is in the description. He only makes these in small batches, so they might not be available at the moment
If you look online at reverb they take advantage of the fact that he makes them in small numbers and people charge 4-500$ :-/
Love the switch mode! Reminds me a bit of the glitchiness of ChaseBliss Thermae delay
can you getthis affect from a DL-4? Tera Meos uses that sounds lots and it seems its the DL-4
Loving this so much! Does anybody know the prices on that boxes?
They’re $200! If you get on the mailing list on their site, they will email when a new batch is coming up
Lel. Now it’s impossible to get one of those, I been lurking without any luck.
Just got one of these. Pretty cool, but I'm having a ton of trouble getting to the secondary functions of the sample knob. Any tips?
Once again, great video! Quick question: what is the current draw of this pedal?
Thanks so much! I’m not positive about the current draw, but I know it runs on the 100ma outlets on my power supply and is cool with daisy chaining
Can you manually adjust timing on the SW mode?
Yup! With the knob and alt function of the knob
loving it!
Do you/did you found a lot of popping from this pedal?
It can pop, but that's part of the sound. It's recreating a MaxMSP patch Jonny Greenwood uses, so it keeps the sharp chops (and popping that results from that) to be more accurate
dunno if this w=is what you're talking about but the latest batch apparently has a dial inside where you can turn off the clicks, according to their marketing email. i have no idea how this happens although i presume it just makes a tiiiiiny fade-in at the start of each loop rather than a hard cut. at least, that's how i eliminate clicks and pops on Logic loops and glitches i make. they were saying if you put this before an overdrive then the clicks can be a nice percussive thing so i guess depends what you're going for
What tuning are you using in this video?
EAEABE! I use it most of the time, it’s kinda like my new standard
Great demo.
Thanks so much!
You did a great job but that background is kinda distracting
Okay, but when can I get the mega glitch?
The more glitch the better!
That’d be the mini’s predecessor, the Feral Glitch. Only 50 or so made, so hard to come by. I have one, but the mini is an improvement over the Feral.
