I have a mini me swap, D16Z6 head on my D16A6. The P28 is tuned as well. It’s reliable as I’ve had on my EF since 1999.

currently doing a refresh on my JDM 3tage D15b (fiero ek3) but cant find the original p2j pistons, after a month of research this video has helped me since your mini me build is practically a JDM 3tage D15b but with updated parts.
I have a d15z6 engine can I also do this? Put a d16 head on it
Great video great content lot of info,I need that machine shop number not even close to ny prices, and let us know about the timing, I currently have a z6block with a y8head supostly have to be 4.5 degree advance do to old block and new it head thanks.
I did the same set up d15b with a y8 head but I am having issues with the timing any suggestion crank no start
I’ll personally never understand why anyone would put this much time and effort not to mention money in a tiny d series. Dump that same amount of money into a larger 4 cylinder if you choose that platform and get better results per dollar.
can’t really think of larger 4 cylinders that would be as easy to swap in that would make better mpg than this one. what engines are you thinking of?
back in the day I used to bully all the b16 swaps with a mini me crx. More torque off the rip. D Series are no joke

It would be very helpful to know what the stock JDM OBD2B 3-stage VTEC rod, crank, bearing size and pistons specs are. And OEM part numbers. There is so much conflicting info on this engine. Maybe you could do another video on this specifically?

Good evening, I have an ek3 jdm d15b with dual vtec (stage3). I wonder if I can change the stock camshaft. putting something better. you understood in order for all 16 valves to work all the time. could a camshaft from d16z6 or d16y8 work on my head?? without making any other changes to the cylinder head. thank you
Hey Nate! I’m planning on taking my head to get rebuilt and block to get surfaced and C&E but I’m seeing mixed reviews more negative than positive. But I was wondering how you’re experience with them was? I’m taking them the head with new valves, springs, etc. just was hoping for your input and if you recommend them? Love the videos man

😂😂😂 i build a old school style mini me d15b2 and p08-3 head no VTEC crap or turbo crap . shaved the head and port mild and put a 272 Delta cam using obdo distributor with some adjustments and a Weber carb and others things old school knowledge like a lighter flywheel etc header and she is a monster gd on gas easy to maintenance and tune with a rusty old screwdriver 😁🪛 .And believe me she is a fast go-kart and her looks tuff and her sound like a old Ford muscle car and she is my baby girl crx bring on and yes she can be converted to b16 transmission in 20 minutes for the big boys in the streets jjjjjj 😁 poor turbos and VTEC jjjj .And she can become 4 barrel carb with higher cam in 20 minutes to really scream fire 🔥 jjjj all homemade nothing special old school style d engine is the real monster and cheap build jjj 🐈

Just wondering if anyone has a 400hp build list like piston and connecting rods wise for the d15b block and y8 head I have the same swap and I’m confused on what size pistons and connecting rods to get someone help😭
135mm is standard length, only piston available is pm3, 135.5mm allows for the use of any d16 piston

Alot of these swaps including B20 and JDM are not legal in California. So beware before you go to all the trouble. Unless you can smog it.
