I’ve had episodes where I get lightheaded and feel like I’m going to pass out while driving, particularly from hard coughing. This has triggered anxiety episodes while driving because I’m scared off passing out while driving.
Thanks for sharing how overcome panic attacks when you’re driving. I do panic a lot when I’m on the motorway. I tried to think of what triggered my panic attacks but I not really sure. I’m now using train to travel. I really need your help. Thank you.
I get really nervous doing my driving lessons, my instructor is really supportive, I think I'm embarrassed about making silly mistakes and that often leads to me freezing, I'd love to see more from you to see if I can get over that, great work 👍
@@abdulgoney6544 really I want to go out at like 5 in the morning and practice and make mistakes with no one else there but obviously can't do that, it's only natural we're gonna make mistakes but I feel really stupid when I do and then I'm worried about making it worse so I do nothing 🙈
I went to the doctor about my driving anxiety and they recommended CBT/immersion therapy, so basically going to the point where you are at the most scared and pushing through it. Which is fine unless you’re driving at 60 mph and the panic sets in…. Thanks for these videos.
CBT won't fix driving anxiety because it works on the conscious mind. Immersion therapy won't fix it because that's stupidly dangerous to do with driving and often just makes it worse. I've had clients that have been through years of CBT and I've helped them fix it in under hours.
It now makes sense why I fear driving over 60 mph, particularly on dual carriageways/motorways. I was a passenger in a car over 20 years ago & was involved in a road rage incident, which left me very scared of travelling at speed. Why didn’t I link the two together until I saw your video. Thank you 😊
Hi I was wondering if you could help me I suffer with driving anxiety. Can’t breathe and proper panic when in traffic . I feel clostaphobic. I think the root of my course is , I had a panic attack when driving on the motorway. About 4 years ago . I’ve never been the same since . Can you help me please
Doctors are so full of it when dealing with fears and phobias. They look at you like you’re an idiot and just give you the harsh reality eg “You know you will have to drive in *insert situation that sets panic*. I’ve lost all hope with them.
I work with a lot of people that have been given pills and all sorts of medication for anxiety. When you find out what the real reason for it was you think "How would a pill ever have fixed that?". Doctors do their best but pills and medication only treat the symptom, therapy finds the root cause and pulls it right out.

I also panic when there is no where to pull over

Can panic attack happen while you do a driving test just because you failed few times and you fear you will fail again.

What about OCD and hypnosis? Really interested video. Thank you.
That depends on what type of OCD and whether you really have it or just think you do.
@@1stdrive how can you tell if you have it or not?
