Decanonizing them will just create a further divide within the fandom. They're not my favorite movies but there are people who genuinely like them. To take that away from them wouldn't be fair. If anything, the vitriol for the prequels was way worse in the 2000s and early 2010s. Imagine if they made those no longer canon. That would have caused chaos and insanity.
@@IBNStudios It has to be done and you know it. Star Wars is at a creative dead end with the "sequels", and the "divide" in the fandom would be very slight, with 90% praising the decanonization, and the 10% who liked the "sequels" being basically irrelevant. Plus, that 10% would get excited for a new canon which actually respects the OT characters, while the 90% who hate the "sequels" will never, ever see another one in a theater again. I was around for the prequels, and let me tell you a fact: the vitriol against them was petty next to the backlash against the "sequels." It was nothing. Those were a bruise at worst. These are mortal wounds. The idiots who like the "sequels" are just cattle with no discerning taste. They just consume products and get excited for the next product, mooing loudly the whole time.
1:12 - 1:17- "(WHEEZE) HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HAHA! HA-HAHA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!...You serious?" I think Dave has broken "Star Wars" lore more than he has added to it, both in George's time and under Disney... That being said, glad to see a fellow LEGO is able to talk about "Star Wars" maturely. Respect. ✌😎
He's definitely retconned some stuff but I think he has a great understanding and appreciation of the story and characters that other executives within Lucasfilm clearly just don't have. He's not an amazing writer but he has great ideas and works great when leading a writers' room.
I understand the frustration cuz believe me I've been pretty underwhelmed too but i find that way of thinking makes people so quick to hate on things or not even give it a chance when it is pretty good. Most of the writers and directors recently have just not cared but it seems they're finally getting people who actually care and are well-respected in the industry.

Dude! Props to you for making and uploading a mature SW related video.
Thanks! There's too much stuff on Star Wars that's overly negative or overly positive. I consider myself to be more of a realist.
There's no hope as long as the "sequels" are considered canon by Disney. Anyone who thinks otherwise is in denial.

Click bait articles. If you actually read them, it's nothing crazy or drastic plus Headland made Russian Doll which is a great show.
