Sir good vid...but, I have a question I have pretty much the same motor and my pull start recoil spring snapped and the pull start rope does not retract...i took the assembly apart now how do you re attach the spring and pinch it down in the housing? In order to remove the entire housing it looks like I would have to remove the carb and fuel line..any help would be great...thanks for any response.
Can you help me with a question on the carb? Rebuilding the same carb for a buddy. I took out the idle jet and there were no washers or o-rings, but i see in the diagram that there should be one or two. Is there? How many where do they go? Thanks
Sounds well, But never put a paper fuel filter on two stroke(without oil tank) cos' it won't sound's good ;) ,I got the same 1974 ,where do i get the spare parts i need a connecting rod's,fuel pump..?
a fuel filter isn't a bad idea but I wouldn't put a huge one on there the engine has to work harder to get fuel. .... the no water out the of the leg means you need a new impeller don't run it without fixing this you will overheat ruining the head suggest you change gear oil as well
nice engine, where did you get your spareparts from ? I got 3 myself, 5 hp; 1967+ 1968 , 6 hp; 1972 and want to make at least 2 pcs as close to new as my wallet allows ;--))

BTW, nice clean engine! It's missing the knob for the idle jet. Can you still get them?
