    My V22 loves SK standard plus. I have shot like 5 kinda of SK and Center X. The cheapest SK shoots 3/8" 5 shot groups at 100 yards. All shooting with a suppressor.

      Hey Sir Chuck Norris! Yep, goes to show you that "your results may vary" right? I LOVE ELEY Match ammo, but this V22 won't eject the case so can't use it and sold it. So far X-Act, Center-X and SK Match are working great with the ATS Tuner installed (see latest video on that). I'm going to do an ammo comparison on those three and Midas+ (which I love but can't find) and SK Long Range Match (which I've been told to avoid by other V22 shooters) to see how the Tuner and rifle like each one out to 200 yards...stay tuned and thanks for watching and the comment my friend!

    I find it incredible that a set up costing what is does should need any mag reforming/taping. If i was able to afford a rifle at the price point the Vudoo is at i would want it cock on from the get go. On the subject of ammo, i bet it will like SK.
    It sure is a beautiful rifle but all the modifying/fettling should not be necessary.
    Awesome shooting on the KYL, really enjoying your videos.

      Thanks Buckshotaaa! I've since moved away from Vudoo and run CZ 457 with a very similar setup...LOVING the CZ and did a review of it as well. Thanks for the kind words and for watching my friend!

    Great video, would really like to know why the decision to sell the Manners and stick with the MDT.

    • @The4GunGuy
      @The4GunGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi ThatTron! I have smaller hands and the manners was just a bit too wide for comfort. I'm so used to the skinnier MDT and I love the longer ARCA rail on it. Finally, it's much easier in my opinion to add weight to the MDT and not have to tie scuba weights to the front of the TCS like others are doing on their stocks like Foundation, Manners and others. Thanks for watching my friend!

    Ramp in the mag? I thought vudoos had that “don’t need a ramp/bullet feeds straight into the chamber so the bullet doesn’t get nicked” deal?
    That being said, ELEY Match/TenX shouldn’t have been a problem at first. Hmm.
    Glad you got it figured out after a break in….question mark?
    Cheers

    • @The4GunGuy
      @The4GunGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ross! Yep, that little front edge on the inside of the mag catches the bullet, especially ELEY Match and Tenex with their flat noses. Once I filed that down and made that "ramp", they loaded better. I've since had more issues with this rifle and am going to do a follow-up video in the near future. Some folks are selling their Vudoo's because of the issues they're having. It's a great rifle, but has a bit too many "tweaks" that are need to get it to work properly...I'll point those out in the follow-up video. Thanks for watching my friend!

    I went to a small local 22 shoot 25- 200 yards.most of the top shooters were running the high end 2000 plus rifles.The person I who I was shooting with had an RPR and I brought my stock other than 100 dollar ER Shaw barreled 10/22.both used cci standard.my 10/22 kept right up with the Uber expensive rifles, some people seemed irritated that my old beater was operating at or even near the high end stuff some just wanted to know what barrel ,what this or that or what I had done to get it to shoot so well.and yes I had tape on my gun in one or two places lol.
    So having to modify or put tape on an old beater is one thing but if had to do anything to a 2000 plus rifle other than shoot it I’d be upset.

    • @The4GunGuy

      Hi Michael! Yep, I see it all the time. I'm doing a follow-up on the Vudoo when I get it back from testing and I can tell you that it won't be a 'good' follow-up. I have a similar story from a LONG time ago...new to the area, my dentist told me of a "turkey shoot" for charity. I asked what I needed and he told me to just bring a 22 rifle, so I went out and bought a 10 round, single stack USED 22 LR. Still have it today. Went to the turkey shoot and saw all these bull barreled 22's. But we were only shooting like 25 yards! So, I shot the first match...And I won a turkey! Shot the second match...And I won a turkey! Man, you should have seen the red faces on those guys, and not red from embarrassment, red from anger. I took my two turkeys and left, smiling all the way home! Hey thanks for watching my friend and I'll post that follow-up here in a couple of weeks.

    If I had a rifle that cost me that much brand new and it jammed with any kind of ammo I would rap it around a tree. I have six czs and on average I don't get a bad feed every thousand rounds. What I mean to say is I know that the voodoo company could fix that problem in nothing flat if they just would but as long as people put up with that crap they don't have to fix it. Now if it were me ever time I said a word on utube they would hear about that and just maybe they would pay attention. Give them some adverse publicity and they would probably fix it for you.
    Yours in the sport.

    Seems you are blaming the rifle for your feeding issues when, in most cases, it's the marriage between the action and stock or chassis you are using.

    • @The4GunGuy
      @The4GunGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi SGTJKM! The issue was three fold. First, the ammo I was using did not suit the Vudoo. I was using ELEY Match which simply did not want to eject and I was experiencing rimlock as you stated. Second, the flat nosed ELEY ammo didn't feed properly, even AFTER I filed a "ramp" into the magazine per advice from a very good Vudoo user. Third, if I load the mag into a bag when building a position I had feed issues and have seen this in MULTIPLE matches with other Vudoo users. I found the solution to all these issues by first, using Lapua Center-x, x-act or SK Match ammo, which the Vudoo is basically built around (Center-x that is). And second, using my home made barricade stop attached to my GreyOps plate...I use this on both my 6.5 Creedmoor and my Vudoo and never have to worry about loading the bag to build my position. You can see that barricade stop in use in this video: th-cam.com/video/kBP44hHP7oY/w-d-xo.html

  • @johnwhitty9069
    @johnwhitty9069 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    For that kind of money those problems shouldn't happen. Filing a ramp into the mag the tape on the front not ok for me. Its a very expensive gun for you to have to modify anything. I'm glad you like it but it would be going back.

    • @The4GunGuy
      @The4GunGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi John! You don't know how many conversations I've had with other Vudoo owners who feel the exact same way as you (and I) do. But, I will say that from a feeding issue standpoint, I've had that issue with my center fire rifle with an impact precision action mounted in an MDT ACC chassis, and if you read the posts about other actions/stock combos, everyone is about the same when loading (I mean pushing into a barricade here) the rifle into a platform with a magazine that extends like these do. BUT, I agree that there should be a much better tolerance considered here given the dollars we are spending on these rifles, centerfire and rimfire. And if there are issues, then do what MDT did and build in a barricade stop! Hey thanks for watching my friend!

    Why don't they put a little indent into that clip and not get all that flack. Bad management wouldn't you agree? That gun should work flawlessly for that price.
