Lovely performance with the cloches stop. The organ at Maison symphonique de Montréal, inaugurated on May 28, 2014, Casavant’s Opus 3,900 consists of 109 registers, 83 stops, 116 ranks and 6,489 pipes.
Haunting first movement with _Cloches_ on the _Grand Choeur_ (?) Building up to an electrifying finale. Spectacular performance (and choice of registration) Ben. Great connection with the musical score (and surely the composer's intent), the organ and audience (judges 🥈at competition _and YT_ ). Rooting for a *2024 appearance* ... 😉
Yes, I'm so glad he chose to add the chimes. They add sparkling punctuation to the statement of the cortege portion. Most organists omit this detail. Didn't Dupre mark this as an option in the score?
It's nice to feel the pedal work underfoot, your feet can conform to the board better, I think. Heel-toe effects can be more legato when they need to be, n'est-ce pas?
1ère fois que j'écoute avec plaisir et intérêt une pièce de Marcel Dupré.
Merci Ben !
Ben, this is glorious performance - thank you! May you be richly blessed in all your heavenly music-making.
God when that first melody comes back in at the climax is probably one of my absolute favourite musical moments, amazing playing :)
Beautiful piece and very well played!
Wonderful!!!
Awesome: bravo, Ben!❤

Playing in an international competition in sock feet?
Is that a thing now?🤷🏼♂️
Yes, I seriously want to know.
It is if you play in socks.
