one crazy near death experience, not myself but happened with my youngest sister. My youngest sister Michelle, at age of like 3months old (1989) she came down with Meningitis and wound up in the hospital for a good length of time. My dad actually said that when she was in the hospital there were a couple of other young children/babies with meningitis who didn't make it and died, and my youngest sister actually pulled through and survived.
Myself I haven't had too many serious injuries. The day before fifth grade I had to get stitches in my right foot from slicing my foot on a rock. I got a bloody nose one summer from a bar that hung down from the swing-set we had. During the end recess one time (2nd grade-ish) the bell rang, I go running to the door and did not see a stray ball come in front of me from my left side, so I tripped and main was my knee tore up/scrapped up. I go up to nurse's office limping, crying, my hand holding my knee as blood running down my leg.
This Halloween I would like to request a pod where their dad puts on an Andy costume and everyone impersonates each other; Joey could be Matt, Matt could be dad, and Andy could play Joey... I’m already laughing 🤣🤣
At five years old I thought it was a good idea to throw rocks up in the air. Well, one rock landed in the middle of my head. It split my head open and (of course) caused a skull fracture. I refused to let the ER doctor stitch my head up until my mom went home and got the movie E.T. Once the ER staff put the movie on, I finally allowed them to fix me up. When I was one, I broke four of my brothers fingers.... and knocked out his front teeth with a coffee mug... At 16, I died... but obviously they brought me back.
They all share their dads features. Matt has his dads whole face down to the bone structure but they all share similar mannerisms and have the same eyes.
I appreciate their dad telling the older kids to allow the youngest to speak. They really do dominate the conversation and often don’t allow him to talk much.
I agree. I didn’t like the comments Joey made about so many great things happening before Andy was born. Matthew and Joey have a lot of competitive behavior, and it’s too much sometimes.
Joey and Matt I think way sexier then blossom and boy meets world, thought Joey was a airhead on blossom b ut I did love his song and Andy was a cute ❤
Momma Lawrence is a ray of sunshine, of course she has to make another appearance on the show but Pops coming back for another episode is non negotiable! He is amazing!!
I loved this episode! The guys love for their dad was so apparent. I loved how they constantly were saying “my dad”. Both my parents are gone now, I’m a few months younger than Joe, it was so nice to see the guys appreciate their parents☺️
Yes!! I recently became a daughter with no parents, and this was awesome to see. I truly love their bond, their Dad is similar to how my Dad was, music in the car, the lessons taught without trying to, even the cars were similar! So dope! 🥰💪🏾💜
Lots of great stories on this episode but Andy's story with the dog attacking his eye was crazy and talk about divine timing running into that renowned plastic surgeon at the hospital.
Only I thought that Andy has the same shy, more reserved energy than his father, so we know who he takes after... Genetics is wonderful, don't you think 😍
This was by far the most precious episode ever! Besides the one with their mom!! The singing was AWESOME!! 3 TALENTED and BEAUTIFUL guys with their dad wow!! Loved this!! Y’all need to sing we need y’all’s voice it’s the best out there acting and singing from the Lawrence brothers yes !!!! Love it !!!! My favorite brothers !!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Now we all know where Matthew got his amazing, strong jawline. lol I've been a fan for years, and I'm in my early 40s, so it all started with Joey for me! Motown and soul music bring it full circle to your personality and brand Joey, all of us little black girls in middle school and high school loved Joey from Blossom; I never got clown from my Joey poster in my locker.
As a dad of 4 boys, I gotta give a nod to Joe senior, when he spoke up for Andy because he thought Joey and Matt should give him a turn to talk...such a Dad thing to do and I'm here for it💪👍👋
Omg Matt looks just like your dad. Same hands, same mannerisms. The love you guys have for your dad is so cute and a testament to the father he is ❤️❤️❤️
As the youngest girl, I can totally relate to Andy. I almost feel like I understand what he’s feeling through the screen. Your dad is awesome, great episode!🎉
Woah, Matthew looks so much like their father. And it's so interesting, because none of the brothers really look alike, but Matthew looked the LEAST like the others. So ironic to now find out that he looks the most like their dad.
As someone who was raised in a single parent household by my father - I have such a deep understanding to fatherhood and parenthood. This episode was truly special. Happy Father's Day Joey and your amazing father ❤
I was almost in tears at the story about Andy and the dog and eye. 😢 I'm glad that story had a happy ending. That had to be freaky to go through. With all the stories I have heard so far about Andy, he must have a guardian angel with him or something. 💜💜
Genuine chills at the end. Hearing them all break into song singing tears on my pillow is a highlight of the month for me. I was just listening to music with my 70 year old dad earlier and this was a perfect transition into it. God Ive been dreaming of hanging out with these guys since I was a child watching brotherly love and with every episode of this podcast I think "damn, im glad my 8 year old self wasnt wrong because it would be a blast hanging around them"
It was cool to see the parallels between the real Joey & the character on Melissa & Joey which is my favorite show of all time. That time he organized Mels closet & the OCD 🤣
I LOVE that their Dad exposed them to ALL great music, especially Soul music, Motown. Beach Boys are underrated, they were dope as hell! Dads voice is dope!!
The mention of mob ties cracked me up. At my grandfathers funeral I remember my dad and his brother joking about taking over the “family business” because of our Italian heritage. 🤣😂
I ADORE the respect and admiration you guys have for your dad. My dad is gone from this earth but he will always be larger than life to me. Amazing how your dad raised three incredibly talented sons!
I so love and enjoying watching the Brotherly Love Podcast!! I look forward to it all the time; they never disappoint, and they keep you entertained, informed and pleasurably and comically relaxed and feeling good!! Thank you, Joey, Matt and Andy, for sharing with us! Love you all so much!! 🤗💞
Observation: Matt looks just like his dad. Andy looks like his mom. Joey is like a mix. And Joey and Matt talks so much and Dad and Andy barely talk. Guess they are the quiet ones in the family. Hehe
Loving this. ... I've never seen your dad before. He and Matt look alike. You all look good. I've always wondered how Joey got into music. This episode is so awesome. Love it keep these coming .
You guys teared me up. My father, a Jamaican, introduced me to music. Very eclectic…from reggae, rock, soul to country. Your impromptu singing made me smile…love you guys.
You guys have such beautiful voices! You could do some youtube shorts with your dad singing! So cool. I love to harmonize and I love the way all 4 of you harmonized at the end. It was like north, south, east, and west! 🌟
This episode is chock full of awesome stories but the best take away is the way you guys completely adore both of your parents. I can only hope my daughters have even a quarter of these type of loving memories. ❤️
I love listening to the stories. Just like Andy I got bit by a dog. I remember my dad and my one brother having to hold me down so the doctor could stich me up. If the dog would of been a few millimeters closer to one sppt of my eye I could of lost it. Thanks to my one sisters hisband being a hunter it made me get used to big dogs after thst happended. I'm still a little apprehensive toward big dogs but I get ised to them. This is making me miss my Dad who passed away 4 years ago in March. Thank you Lawrence family, I enjoy your podcast very much. Growing up I had a crush on Matt.
Found this episode so much more emotional than even the one with your mom, which I also loved. But you all just transformed into kids around dad. The excitement and the constant “Right, dad?” And that story of Joe’s birth…. 🥺🥺🥺 ugh…. I love this family
Steve Winwood’s Arc of a Diver the best album! ❤ Mr. Mignogna such a wonderful father. No wonder the sons are such close brothers because of the nurturing of great parents.
Great show guys. My Dad is gone now 4 long years and was who helped me find my love of music. This was beautiful and hug them while they are here. God Bless guys. Love the Podthepod!!! Sending love from SCRANTON PA :)
These family round tables are the greatest! My family has had them, and all we do is reminisce and laugh about all our childhood debacles and hilarious moments!
I’ve always admired the talent and work ethic of the Lawrence brothers, but it’s podcasts like this that make me appreciate how deep rooted this talent and work ethic truly is! I hope the rest of the world wakes up and realize we need to recognize these men with stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame…🎉🎉
This episode was truly amazing dad I can see why all of your kids are the way they are. You poured so much love and try to teach them as much as you possibly could and they turned out to be good boys. I love it I can only dream of doing the same with my boys
Y’all better sang!!! OMG.. the singing at the end was great- starting at 46:55! Thanks for sharing and of course I loved stories from your childhood. God bless!
@@J-dn1tv I don't see that as Matt questioning him. He is simply asking the expert a question that he was curious about, in fact he gave him a platform to talk about his business.
Do you have any wild childhood stories or injuries?!

I got a lot but the most extrem was me putting those things that mix the dough into the outlet.

He really is the image! Those cheek bones too
YES!!!
I was about to say the same thing! ❤
Right?!!!
They all share their dads features. Matt has his dads whole face down to the bone structure but they all share similar mannerisms and have the same eyes.

I agree. I didn’t like the comments Joey made about so many great things happening before Andy was born. Matthew and Joey have a lot of competitive behavior, and it’s too much sometimes.
It's because Andy is the BEST singer! 🥰
Daddy Joe sounds like a softer spoken Andy. Great to see the man who was the male figure in these lovely bros' lives.
It was super nice of their Dad to break his no media preference & come on the show. I would like to hear more of his singing
Yes. And i didn't realize how Joey had such a great voice.
Lol I love how the father sticks up for the baby brother! So sweet!😊
Yes!!! Loved that. So respectfully mentioned, as well.
Joey and Matt I think way sexier then blossom and boy meets world, thought Joey was a airhead on blossom b ut I did love his song and Andy was a cute ❤
Andy was probably his baby baby that’s whyyy
Joey and Matt probably got in trouble after the show 😂
Honestly incredible how the whole family is just talented. Natural-born entertainers.
We appreciate that ❤
Momma Lawrence is a ray of sunshine, of course she has to make another appearance on the show but Pops coming back for another episode is non negotiable! He is amazing!!
Agree - love love this dad episode, want to hear more from him
Agree
10:24. Daddy Lawrence dipping out on survival camp and sleeping in the mini van is hilarious!! 😂💜
It was really nice to see Papa Lawrence on the pod! Loved the "Boys don't forget to include your baby brother".
I love how Dad got out of his quiet shell at the end with the singing. A real glimpse of his personality
I loved this episode! The guys love for their dad was so apparent. I loved how they constantly were saying “my dad”. Both my parents are gone now, I’m a few months younger than Joe, it was so nice to see the guys appreciate their parents☺️

I lost both of my parents unexpectedly within in a two year time period. I miss them everyday.
yeah right there with you. I lost my dad when I was 13 I'm now 46 and I lost my mom 5 years ago....
The story about how Andy’s eye was saved was incredible. It was absolutely a miracle. God was watching over Andy that day for sure.
They don’t want to be cancelled so they didn’t like this comment, but you’re right
God sure intervened!
I was thinking it sounded like a total miracle!!!
💯 that story just gave me goosebumps listening to it.
That surgeon who fixed his eye was actually an angel. No coincidence 😊
Now I see where Andy gets his quiet nature, love it! 🔥 Whereas Joe and Matt are always on hyperdrive 🤣
They’re constantly competing. It’s too much. They need to dial it down.
LMAO 😂Matt "we are very proud of out Italian heritage" Joey "yah we are" and Andy "thats why we changed our last name" I can't love you guys!!
What a wonderful dad! When he reminded the older boys to include Andy, just says everything. Happy Father's day Dad and Joey.
Wow the Lord put that Surgeon in that Hospital just for Andy...so amazing! LOVED all the "Lawrence " men singing together, so talented
We the people need a Christmas album with you guys singing with your Dad🔥🎶
Yes! When they all sang together, I immediately thought “ok the Mignogna Men need to form a group now!”
So talented!
Hahaha I can tell Andy is his dads baby boy. 😂
Lots of great stories on this episode but Andy's story with the dog attacking his eye was crazy and talk about divine timing running into that renowned plastic surgeon at the hospital.

Joe's obsession with his dad suits and cars! Hilarious!! 😂😂
HOLY MOLY...Matt looks so much like his Dad!!!
Totally twinning
Sounds like him, too! I can hear Andy, too. Actually more so Andy voice-wise.
That is why family time is so important. You never get it back . God blessed each and every one of us with a beautiful family.
Dads got some charisma, I see where the sons get their smoothness from.

Matt has a sweet singing voice 💓
This episode was perfect. Legit tears at the end of the Lawrence family singing. This made me miss my dad so much!! Thank y’all for this.
I'm convinced Joey throws around the word 'idiot' like its a term of endearment 😆🤣
I think it’s a Gen X thing. my family it’s the same way

Dad Lawrence sat so still in the intro that I thought he was a statue! Lol. So cool to have him on. 🙂

Joey and Andy definitely take after their dad, the eyes.
The whole face.

The story about Matt raging and chasing Andy and then crashing head first into the clay pot asking for help got me 🤣🤣
My favorite episode so far ! Amazing to see your dad ❤
Thank Dad.
I think Andy is dad’s favorite. 😁
Now we can see where Andy gets his vibe
I LOVE that their Dad exposed them to ALL great music, especially Soul music, Motown. Beach Boys are underrated, they were dope as hell! Dads voice is dope!!
Awwww Matt looks like their dad!
I got chills and a little teary when you guys all sang together ❤️
Loved this, love how your father acknowledged the 3rd brother, I call this fatherly love...
I notice that too

This podcast is sooo chaotic like ALL OF THE TIME and honestly I will continue to come back EVERY TIME. Lol. Love you guys 😂💗
Love your dad! He’s awesome. Seems like such a genuine, calm, funny guy. He needs to come back and he’s matt’s twin for sure.

Andy is a very smart young man. I was surprised to hear Matt questioning the dad in a public forum. So smart of Andy to interject when he did!!
@@J-dn1tv I don't see that as Matt questioning him. He is simply asking the expert a question that he was curious about, in fact he gave him a platform to talk about his business.
Matt was asking super specific questions though. Andy was just looking out for his Dad's possible future clients.
